I would like to think that the next coach that comes will be allowed to bring at least a "right hand man" I do believe it's important to help get ideas across and implement changes
But what he said to the press didn't seem to have been acted on though. He, along with Mowbray, said they wanted a bit more "older" players in the team which didn't happen. Beale even said that Hemir was going to be sent out in loan but it turned out to be Mayenda. Not saying that the club didn't back him but they all need to be on the same page if we're to push on
'Newcastle United sporting director Dan Ashworth has been placed on gardening leave ... ... after telling the club he wants to join Manchester United.'
This is what concerns me. If he's walked because of the fans reaction to him, it just means that a small group of morons are going to think they can control what happens inside the club on the basis of whether they think someone 'fits' the club on the basis of some nebulous and completely irrelevant criteria (seemingly, their accent for a lot of them). Whether that is the reason or not, I can never be happy that a bloke has lost his job. And I remain absolutely ****ing fuming at the way some of our fans have gone on about him on social media (and other internet-based communication methods) and how horrifically it reflects on the rest of the fanbase, the club, the city, and the region.
Didn't @Prehab26 say he had a bad attitude with players ??? Sacking him so soon over results after so few games would seem harsh but being a bad character, not so in my book. Not saying he was, just thinking out loud.
Whoever gets the job in the summer wont have a few of the key players we have now if the rumours are true re Clarke, Neil, Ballard etc. It will be interesting how we sell that to the new gaffer.
I've heard this said about managers before. Usually just a personality clash and not everyone in the squad will feel the same way. Only a weak chairman would sake someone because of that. Its just a rumour to be used as a stick to beat a manager you don't like with.
Well we'll probably never know. I think getting the sack over his results a bit harsh in such a short space of time. If there is other factors then maybe not so.
Running less, tackling less, creating less chances, player rifts, the hand shake, the under the bus press conferences. Not sure how much more blatant it needs to be
It's all become a bit hysterical and some people look ten times the joke they keep saying the club is. Some of the personal attacks, demands for protests at the matches, etc, have made us look poor imo. Seriously, how many people think Birmingham City are a joke ... ... their managerial calamities, this season, have been worse than ours and they're lower in the table. Beal has gone, let's move on .... come on RTB, get the Swansea thread up ffs
Tend to agree. I'd rather it was because of results though, because if it's because of a personality clash or because the board have listened to the ramblings of the unthinking mob, they look weak.
Totally agree. Although I realise I'm sounding a bit hysterical myself now . But this whole saga has really pissed me off.
Oh yeah, not the fact some fans calling for his head, I mean things within the club. As results are concerned it wasn't much time and looks like a gung-ho decision. Unless the results were related to off the field things
