Good response. But I never thought after Plymouth things were looking good. If we beat Birmingham yesterday I would still not have been optimistic about the rest of the season. We simple are regressing in style of play and results. We've gone from slick passing and swift counter attacking and wonder goals to slow predictable and easy to defend against.
It's not Beales fault. We were regressing under TM too.
We should have gone for a dynamic approach coach wise and secured the services of Will Still.

That's all fine if Still wants to come to the far NE coast of England ...

    ... not everyone does.

The thing is when we lose a game every decision that is taken is the wrong one. We lost with rusyn against Huddersfield yet some are arguing he should have started yesterday. People are saying Rigg doesn't look out of place but it's different starting a game against fresh more experienced midfielders than coming on later in game. I agree about seelt being unlucky but I wouldn't be dropping Hume, o9 and ballard so it's difficult. He will get his chance now. Anouche has looked OK in patches but he came on against Ipswich and we lost. When he's started he's been poor. If you are a manager you pick the players you trust. A lot of focus goes on Jobe but I thought he was excellent first half yesterday. I'll be interested to see if Styles comes in straight away, that looks an obvious choice for. Not been impressed with hjelde. Looks like a centre half playing left back. Seelt is same on other side but is far better

I've no idea tbh, just assume everyone is either in debt of happy to go that way.

The supporters always want more spending then you're supposed to feel sorry for them if they end up in trouble.

The next five years will see big clubs in trouble, you can see it coming.

It's not 5 years, it 3 when the full bite of the sustainability rules hit. The only grey area is the "squad value" part and no doubt that will be skewed towards the bigger clubs.

Ipswich's owners are having a right go to get to the premier league before that as their turnover would increase massively. IF they get up and crash back down they will have parachute payments to fall back on

If we get close to ffp limits, kld can convert the loans to shares and we would be under the loss limits. Not that he needs to as we are well under at the minute

If they don't, then for a guess they have next year to try again and if that fails a sale or 3 needed to balance the books.

Some people say that Beale's CV isn't good enough. It's much better than Still's. Beale has been coaching a lot longer. Still has a little bit of box office about him because a huge fuss was made about him getting a manager's job at quite a big club at a young age, and because he didn't have the required coaching qualifications. He would have been a huge gamble compared to Beale.

Being a realist I'd have to say supporters are pretty clueless because it's basically pot luck.

Potter was the hottest ticket, at Brighton, and totally flopped at Chelsea.

Still could be either at Sunderland.

Some who didn't want Beale, because of his limited managerial experience, wanted Dodds with none.

We’ve outspent Ipswich massively on fees over the last few seasons though, their wage bill is just higher than ours - I’ve no idea exactly what the crack with wages relating to the 70% of your revenue is but it can’t be as clear as that if it’s true what people are claiming on here that they’re spending 130% of their revenue on wages.

You don’t need to be playing football manager to see which areas of the pitch we need to improve especially when everything is “data driven” surely?

Absolutely nobody on that pitch to take a game by the scruff of the neck they’re soft as ****e. Some games they can play their opponents off the park but when that doesn’t work we can’t stick it out for the fight we just capitulate once they’re under any kind of pressure. You need a mixture of players who can do both not naivety and inexperience in every part of the pitch.

That comment was i reference to bringing players, or even managers, here tbh.

"Not everything in football can be planned like Football Manager ...

... players can't be made to come and don't always perform when they do."

He's played 559 minutes total, started 3 games all season. He has 1 goal and 1 assist. Has the highest xG per 90 in the squad. Averages over 3 shots per 90 which is one of the best in the squad. Has very good creativity stats and good passing stats. Has nearly 6 touches in the opposition box per 90 which is one of the best in the squad. Has good pressing and defensive stats. Lad has made ONE mistake in a position he's played maybe 3 times in his career. His treatment has been absolutely shocking. No reason he shouldn't be playing.

Not sure.... Beale said afterwards he was hit and miss whether he played due to an injury. Maybe I was too harsh on Hume as he did look dead on his feet.

There's no reason he's not playing based on the information you've quoted. There will be a reason he's not playing though.

Closest thing to a 10 we have he has to be given a run of games with Rusyn in front imo. Aouchiche sees a pass that other players don’t or at least has the bollocks to attempt it, like to think it would work well with Rusyns movement.

When we’re playing **** it’s then that you can drop players and try different things, TM wouldn’t and I hope Beale isn’t the same. Players need to know their place in the team isnt juts a given.
