Taken from the Evening Standard, albeit reporting in another context. The article says, teams fail according to Murphy's Law - "Because they can't move beyond the 'individual'. Because they haven't harnessed the power of a collective goal. Because the culture of the organisation doesn't promote accountability," Sir Woy applied the law, I'd say. A tad of that collectiveness and accountability wouldn't go amiss at the moment.
I agree. I don't think we've playing as a team as much as we should be. I wonder if a few of our players have an eye on the exit door.
I agree as well, clearly some of our players see us as too much of a feeder club to bigger things. However, if this is their attitude then they are naive as frankly no-one in the team at the moment has shown enough consistency this season to warrant such a move. I'd go as far to say that only Schwarzer, Baird and Sidwell have consistently impressed me this season. Can't say I'm very excited about facing RVP this weekend either.
Isn't that one of the models of proportional representation that we all voted about back in May? What's that got to do with playing Arsenal? Perhaps if the rules of RVP had applied, Arsenal would have won - proportionally - two league titles and three FA cups during Arsene Wenger's long barren stretch.
I just noticed that my last post was number 999, so I thought I'd gratuitously cram in another one just to break the thousand post barrier. Unpack the party poppers!
Congratulations on being I believe the first FFC not606er to break the thousand mark. And in addition to your previous point, this season without the rules of RVP in place, would it be a fair bet to place Arsenal in the bottom 3 right now?
Thanks Robes, although perhaps it's a sign that I should (a) get out more and (b) focus a little more closely on my work between the hours of 9am and 5pm! Under the RVP electoral system AJ has already got 20 goals this season, Riise the Elder has scored some cracking long-distance goals and Steve Sidwell is now a blonde scandanavian. Bobby's still in a sulk though.
