Best result of the weekend for us is spurs losing. 10 points to 5th now. city draw allows us to win 12 and draw v city. so it's a slight improvement in our position.
exactly. it's no longer in city's hands as they have to beat us at anfield now. get to 70 points as fast as possible and see what's possible thereafter. in the next week we play luton at home, find who we play in europa last 16, play a cup final and an fa cup 5th round. busy.
I won't pretend to be disappointed with that. Them dropping two points is nice. Them dropping there points would be nicer, but the silver lining is Chelsea drop two more points too! We're top of the table again, even after games in hand now.
Arsenal looking the bigger threat, with more momentum than City at the moment. We both have to play city. I suppose it makes it an interesting last third of the season, not a finish as it's a very long way to go with 39 PTS still to play for (42 for city).
Sad that we failed to beat Arsenal at Anfield. Arsenal is away to Chelsea and we at home to City LEAGUE ONLY NEXT FIVE GAMES Liverpool: Luton (H) Nottingham Forest (A) Manchester City (H) Everton (A) Brighton (H) Arsenal: Newcastle (H) Sheff Utd (A} Brentford (H) Chelsea (H) Manchester City (A) Manchester City :Brentford (H) Bournemouth (A) Luton (A) Manchester United (H) Liverpool (A) #There is no easy game in the premiership. I don't know which club as got easier fixtures in the next five games.
True, but one club is at home to City and the other is away. Arsenal also have to play Chelsea (h), Spurs (a), Villa (h), Man U (a) and Brighton (a). That's 6 tricky games, not mention any relegation desperation. We have (aside from City) Brighton (h), Man U (a), Spurs (h) and Villa (a), with the added bonus of Everton (a) Think the four Manchester games hinge it.
absolute shocker from the ref on the sheff utd v Brighton game. Holgate absolutely assaulted mitoma and the ref pulled a yellow. var actually did its job. however the ref allowed several sheff utd players surround him and get aggressive in defending the ****.
How did holgate look so confused and shocked when the ref booked him? Absolute shocking tackle. Can only assume he knows he should have been sent off and was shocked it was only a yellow.
Holgate must have heard LFC were considering Mitoma as a replacement for Salah, so got his career ending tackle in early!
At the very least Casemiro should have had a yellow for that, the very least. Gets away with just a foul
can't even claim home town advantage on that one. if I were a Luton fan I'd be letting the linesperson know they won't get out of here alive with that ****. they should be in the dressing room right now talking about how they've ****ed it and need to level it up here
