Beale has endured the worst reception from SAFC fans I’ve ever seen. The ‘model’ of developing a team of younger players also makes it harder to judge over ten games. I struggle to understand an average age of 22-23. Coaching younger players is said to be Beale’s specialty so hopefully it’s nothing to worry about. The nearest I can get is the idea of a vineyard, the players age on their own so we don’t need to buy in experience. Certainly some of our past players have gone down more like Kestrel Super Strength than a 2011 Merlot.
Stats don't make good reading at all and not good to watch apart from occasional spurts (eg Plymouth), but we won't go down so by summer should be able to make a better judgement. Quite confident KLD won't hesitate to act if needs be, so I'm not going to worry about it
well i was bordering on whether to give beale more time but this game has made that decision a bit easier.
He’s had enough time now to find out about the players, and I’ve had enough time to make up my mind on Beale. We’ve taken a step backwards with the appointment, I’m sure he’s a nice bloke but he seems utterly clueless at our club. He’ll be gone by the end of the season, keep him next year and we will be skirting with relegation.
Is there any data that could show any kind of a positive influence he has had whilst he’s been here? The eye test shows to me we are slower in play and the high press from last season is non existent. Mind it hasn’t been great all season but I can’t see any area of improvement since his appointment. Thought we were very good last weekend but midweek and today my god it’s as poor as it’s ever been!
Possibly defensively but that's nothing to crow about when he's put the entertainment and XG through the floor.
Felt like a strange appointment at the time with all the noise around it, not just from our ‘fans’ but outsiders questioning the link before he was appointed. I’ve seen nothing to justify the faith that Speakman had in him when giving him the job and the atmosphere around him and now around the club is just weird
It's odd really, we're all about the data but he's hardly managed anywhere long enough to give a good sample size.
