Match Day Thread WBA v Saints Friday 16th Feb 8pm - Sky Sports Main Event.

A good result and a good performance. Every player played their part and a clean sheet as well.

 

Russell got his subs spot on. Aribo was fantastic ever since he came on. Edozie brought plenty of energy. Brooks was class, great finish for his goal.

 

Expected win on Tuesday and defeat tonight. Same points anyway.We stagger on.

Well, that was unexpectedly easy. Great performance all round and takes the pressure off, puts it back on Leeds.

Thought the defence were brilliant tonight, Baz too when called on.

Mara needs to concentrate on playing football instead of trying to win free kicks.

I did think privately to myself on Tuesday morning I would probably take 3 points from the two away games, particularly if it was West Brom we beat. Now 4 of our next 5 league games are at home and we proved Tuesday was just a bump.

 

Great result.

Over the course of both games vs WBA, there is no way that we deserved the maximum six points. But I don't care one jot.

Unlike in midweek, the subs really had an impact this time. A bit of PL quality from Brooks killed WBA off - they had very little left to give after that.

 

Downes is not the Messiah, he’s just great player. Something like that.

 

Oh and that save from Baz - WOWSERS! After not having much to do all game that was a fantastic piece of goalkeeping.

 

He went down easily but I thought he did okay. Good runs and when receiving the ball from deep was always looking for an opportunity to turn with it.

 

Well done you. Lot of pressure after Loading's run, but you've handled it well. You can be proud of your performance tonight.
