Aside from the obvious (chopping thing) I am surprised at how patient PIF are right now. Having said that the value of the club is more or less twice it was when they bought it by the sheer fact we are a top 8 side. So they have not lost money yet. Will they accept the current position in 3-5 years time. I think not. Howe knows he is either going to have to take it to the next level or hes gone. So he has to stop this favouritism thing sooner rather than later.
I'm looking forward to Howe saying he had a great working relationship with Ashworth and everyone has an input/say on recruitment. Yeah I'm sure Ashworth has really enjoyed having to be talked down by your little nephew.

I'm far from convinced he'll stay but at the same time it wouldn't be the most surprising thing if he did as he's not been in the role long enough. Eventually switching jobs in his role as often as he does is going to effect his integrity.
I hope he stays because it's a defeat for them, but I'm 100% convinced he's going. The thing is there's an order and while we can cherry pick from smaller clubs it doesn't stop the bigger clubs feeding on ourselves. Newcastle are probably never going to eclipse the big 6 because everything is being set up to ensure they're secure from nufc and any other pretenders..... there might become a 7 at some stage, but alot has to go right over many years. More and more obstacles being voted in.
I wouldn't say we can't eclipse Spurs ffs. If we can't what's the point? Arsenal having a resurgence under Arteta but could quite easily slump into another 10 year decline. Chelsea just don't seem to catch a break presently.
Spurs revenues are double ours at least already and the rules mean they can get richer at a faster rate aswel. It's a swimming race where 14 swimmers are made to swim fully clothed with lead in their pockets. Then the winners act like they're winning on merit.
The rules would be that you're only then allowed to eat thin air and they can eat your diet x2 every single day.
