Don’t see why you’d throw Bradley back in if hasn’t played or trained for last couple weeks.

Add in Brentford are dangerous from set pieces and the added ability of Gomez to defend them (plus his overral form this season) seems like obvious choice.

We then play Luton at home so Bradley can get some minutes then in a game that should in theory be a bit more comfortable and where you’d maybe want to rotate one of Gomez/konate ready for cup final

you could be right. He's a yonug lad though so will be well fit so either way. there's pros and cons in both ways and your points are completely valid.

I'd expect both full backs to be replaced in the game for fitness and risk in any event.

Depends on scenario but agreed, need to give tsimikas some game time now he’s fit. Just think with Bradley if going to throw him back in, given what’s just gone through prob be easier for him in a home game against Luton than away to Brentford but I’m sure klopp will know if he’s ready or not.

I'm probably about the only person not in the least bit bothered that trent is injured?

I think the shape of the team is better without ingrown full backs amd I think teams have already figured that stuff out.

more intensity and quickly passes with intent are key not people knocking ot about unotl trent can get in positioned to knock one forward.

It's a tricky one for me. I've said for a long time that I don't like his current role in the team.
Trent is undoubtedly a special talent, and I'm not criticising him, but there's a loss of shape trying to accommodate him. We looked so much more exciting and dangerous with Bradley playing the more traditional attacking FB.
You have to use a talent like Trent's, but how to get the best out of him without buggering up the team's balance is a real problem I think.

I remember when Trent used to bomb down the line and deliver crosses like a traditional attacking FB. <whistle>

Ali Gomez Bradley all back. Konate no longer suspended so should be all good defensively.

Szobo still out possibly back for final.

Salah back in training so may be available.

However major issues, Jota & klopp won player and manager of the month so no doubt cursed now!

    CHRIS SUTTON'S PREDICTION. AWAY WIN.

    Brentford v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)
Brentford have scored three goals in each of their past two home games against Liverpool, and I can see them giving the Reds more problems this time too.

Arsenal and Manchester City have both had to fight hard to get away wins against the Bees this season, and Jurgen Klopp's side need to do the same to stay on top of the Premier League.

It won't be easy for them, though. I was at Anfield for 5 live last week to see Liverpool beat Burnley, but they weren't very convincing in that game and I'd give Brentford a real chance of taking at least a point here.

Liverpool have been stretched by injuries recently and Trent Alexander-Arnold's latest knee problem is another blow, but Joe Gomez can cover at right-back, plus Conor Bradley is back in training. Mohamed Salah is getting back to full fitness too and might even feature on Saturday.

Salah's return would be a huge boost and will increase Liverpool's firepower, but their attack is very strong even without him and I think that is what will get them over the line here.

I am going with my heart over my head, really, because I'd like to see a close title race and Liverpool need to keep winning to keep City at bay.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Songer's prediction: Brentford are not the most consistent team this season. I still think they will stay up comfortably in the end, but Liverpool are going to win this. 1-3

JONES KNOWS BEST HAS GONE FOR 2:2 DRAW.
    Brentford vs Liverpool, Saturday 12.30pm
Run away as fast as you can from the 4/7 with Sky Bet on a Liverpool away win.

Brentford's direct, to the point style always causes issues for the big boys at home, especially Liverpool. The Bees have found the net six times against Jurgen Klopp's men in their two meetings at the Gtech, winning 3-1 and drawing 3-3.

Liverpool may have only conceded 13 goals on the road - the second-best defensive record in the Premier League - but the underlying metrics point to an overachievement on that front. The chances they've shipped, using the expected goals against model, shows a result of 19.11 - an overperformance of six goals. That per 90 average of 1.59 expected goals against is only the fifth best in the Premier League - even Everton (1.54) sit above them on that front.

A regression could be on the horizon, so Brentford are capable of scoring twice, especially with their main man Ivan Toney back and amongst the goals.
Of course, it's hard to keep the Liverpool attack quiet too - they've scored three or more goals in 11 of their last 24 Premier League games. Goals look on the menu so backing both teams to score and over 2.5 goals around 4/5 with Sky Bet looks a winner in waiting.
SCORE PREDICTION: 2-2 | JONES KNOWS' BEST BET: Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals (4/5 with Sky Bet - Bet Here!)

Referee and VAR confirmed for Brentford vs. Liverpool as Coote appointed AGAIN
Despite being recently involved in Liverpool controversy, David Coote has again been appointed as lead VAR for Liverpool’s next Premier League match at

Admittedly, it is hard to find a refereeing group who have not been involved in a high-profile incident when it comes to the Reds, and this weekend is no different.
In December, Liverpool were denied a stonewall penalty at home to Arsenal and referee chief Howard Webb confirmed a mistake was made when Coote dismissed the obvious Martin Odegaard handball.

This is the fifth time this season Coote has been on VAR duty for a Liverpool match in the Premier League, which is 20 percent of their games.

Incredibly, he was then appointed as VAR for the next meeting between the two teams in January.

And now he is back again having been appointed to oversee VAR when Liverpool make the trip to Brentford for Saturday’s lunchtime kickoff.

David Coote, the official who somehow made it onto the PGMOL's elite list, and had to admit after the Pickford/Virgil incident that he didn't know the rules of Serious Foul Play. Never forget.
