The worst thing about all this - again IF all true - is that Ashworth will have inside info on us that could help Man United further manipulate things to slow our progress. Like he'll know exactly where we are at with financial restrictions and which 'tweaks' to currenr rules could hurt us most. So no doubt they will be lobbying for more rule changes over the next couple of years.
I never said he was dof but they definitely wanted a that was at Bournemouth to replace Ashworth..... apparently he's already turned down Liverpool and Chelsea. It was a story I read in the telegraph months ago.
If your on about Michael Edwards (who is the guy that turned down Liverpool recently) - He's never been at Bournemouth. If you are talking about Richard Hughes at Bournemouth then its been ruled out that there has ever been an interest.
Well it must be a different guy and I'm crossing two stories but I assure you I read it. Unfortunately this new means the replacement target is not Hughes and is someone at Bournemouth.
FWIW - If he goes I reckon they'll go for either Mitchell, Leonardo or Campos. I'll also state if it's Campos then I'd expect a certain "special one" installed shortly after.
Thing is unless Man U stump up a REAL decent amount of money we hold all the cards here, Ashworth is contracted so there is no worries about him "forcing" a move unless we get what we want from Man U. If we don't and he doesn't like it he can go on gardening leave until 2025/26 season but Man U will get someone else in the mean time.
Indeed. Some reports suggesting Man United are prepared to pay whatever amount for him to be released from contract and start there immediately. It's time to remember those 'negotiations' for us potentially loaning Lingaard. Let's screw them over big time.
