Reminded me just show good Alex Neil was for us. Regardless of how he left he was a massive catalyst in where we are now

100 percent. Sometimes you need to look back and take stock.

it’s going to be unpopular but I rewatched season 2 as well and I genuinely thought Stewart Donald really wanted this to work, it got away from him at the end and we benefitted..

I’m still not keen on Methven though, wasn’t right the way he spoke to some of the people (especially Chris waters when he said maybe have a phase for people who watched the games leading up to the checkatrade final)

He seemed to be really excited about owning and running such a big club. I think he really cared about the football and the club. He just didn't know what he was doing. I think Methven was a different story though. I think he thought he'd make money out of it.

The 'Sunderland supporters kidnapped my daughter' story was the end of the line for me ...

... Methven is just a conman who can only fool some of the people some of the time.

Loved it. Made me sob though through all three episodes. The lads come across really approachable and made me laugh how they made Wycombe come across as the pantomime villain!!!

Was clear though, which I thought was spot on, was that they hired him as an experienced previous play off winner. Hence only the 12 month rolling contract.

09 (Which didnt suprise me), Gooch, Clarke and Roberts all came across as top lads.

It also made me realise how much i miss having a fit Loch Ness Drogba playing for us.

Paddy & Jacky come over brilliant. They came over like they genuinely gave a **** and we’re both down to earth as anything.

    Top lads.

Just finished watching series 3. As others have said, it's very different to the first 2 series. This will be a Sunderland fans' favourite, but neutrals won't be as interested.

The people in it came across fantastically. We had an excellent bunch of players; I really loved the Clarke and Roberts' scenes. It's a really nice reminder of what they were when they came here and that everyone has supported each other. Jack Clarke is a wonderful footballer and might be carrying us at times currently, but we should remember that we helped build him into this footballer. We gave him opportunity and consistency. Gooch is obviously a great man, missed around the club. Neil and Stewart did really well for us too and their efforts shouldn't be forgotten or underappreciated.

Luke O'Nien should never be allowed to leave. What he brings to this club goes way beyond football. He's a tether connecting our football club to it's heart and soul when the sport is becoming evermore a business.

The final scenes were very emotional. I've never met Ian Wake, but he encapsulates the song and the show in those very moments "Sunderland 'til I die". To the very end, this football club is in our hearts alongside our family. The way that our club is the very core of our community and family is what makes it special in my eyes. I wouldn't want the price of success to be the club becoming more corporate and business like.

They say the key to happiness is not to have everything you want, but to want what you already have. I already have the football club that I want.

    I'm Sunderland 'til I die!

    Watched it yesterday.

Some points of view Methven is a ****ing ****house
Does Barry Bannan think his surname is Batman? Laughed my bollox of when he told Luke when they scored "You are done" :) Oh how we laughed
I had forgotten some of the team that played for us in the final :(

Elliots goal, people blamed their keeper, he hit it that hard I think it was past him before he realised and it swerved a bit

Just watched the last episode as there’s not much happening today.
Really enjoyed that especially the chat with the players and the playoff final.
Certainly brought a tear to the eye with that emotional ending.

Finally say and watched all 3 this morning.

Welcome to Wrexham is a load of ****e compared to this. Scripted ****e.

I had a lump in my throat at one point during every episode. Editing is very clever, when things aren't going well, they made sure the weather was crap, gray, raining. When things were on the up, sun's out etc. I thought it was a fitting end to a top notch series. There was a part during the Wembley scene where the commentator said about "years in the dark" or something, there was a 5 second rewind of all the ****e throughout the other 2 series, Rodwell etc then it was back to the Wembley day. Absolutely magical. Funny how they never touched on the Defoe signing. I'd rather have seen more of that than the Roy Keane non starter. 10 our of 10.

Just started watching. I'm not in the North East anymore so don't get local news. To be honest I don't watch regular telly so probably wouldn't watch it if I did.

End of episode one the news about KLD not owning a majority share is on 'Look North' and my ****ing god she is gleeful, she would have her legs up diddling herself if she could! I now see whay everyone means when they go on about her!
