Different player entirely than the one who rolled in(literally, like a barrel) 2 summers ago. I'd have started him into Fabio's position tonight. Unlucky to be dropped.
Thoiught Caravallo had a better game but disappointed with him. We had Tuifan sat on the bench who has shown himself a better number 10. And then there is Omur who curently has only replaced Vaughan, wanna see him get a chance also And yes we are missing our African Cup winner. Slater did not take the part of Seri in the double pivot with Morton. Played much further foward than I expected.
Instead of celebrating the win people can’t wait to get their one up’s cause someone dared to criticise a poor player performance two games ago Great win! Love that Philogene is putting us on the map, really hope we can get a string of wins together now
No one had a problem with criticising the swansea performance. Using that as an excuse to pile on and justify the irrational bollocks they've been spouting for 18 months since the 'naive gobshite with no pull for players' was appointed was a bit of a stretch though, and got called out as such. 3 wins from 4. Bed wetting after Swansea was nonsense.
Turned up on a plane, had 18 mins after pretty much shaking hands in a light training session with his team mates and immediately written off as ****e. That's what city fans do.
There's deffo something wrong with making a judgment on a player when they've been in the door literally about 4 hours.
I did see them. I made posts criticising Ohio's performance. I didn't see anyone writing him off. Since you think people did I assume you have examples front of mind.
Oh, I'll enjoy the win, but this throwing toys out at the first sign of disappointment nonsense isn't what got me down to bootherry week in, week out when we were ****. And you shouldn't accept this 'immediate gratification' knee jerk culture either.
Seem to remember quite a few definitive statements made. Also remember a lot saying Sharp should have played instead. At least that sacred cow should have been slayed after tonight.
This talk about fan unity seems a bit daft when we get this ****e on here when we play well and win. Talk of post-Swansea bed wetting is a bit silly as well to say how gash we played in that game and for most of the one before it. We played really well tonight against the bottom of the table side. That's after conceding another early goal I might add - though with the deflection there's not much we could have done other than earlier prevention and a better headed clearance. For me tonight was going to be the test, said as much when the Jan window closed. We passed it. The next big test is the next game. If we see the same gusto again then we can think more about a playoff place, but we need to keep this run going now - of grinding out results when we're up against it. As confidence starts to redevelop hopefully we can really kick on and see what this team can do against better opposition.
