As if we didn't have enough to do without a deflection and a poor save attempt. One way traffic anyway.
****ing night ruined within 10 mins. This is just painful to watch. Worst Swansea side in about 15 years maybe.
It’s not that I expected us to win this, but just like in the Southampton and Leicester games, it’s the unbelievable gulf between them and us. None of those teams are Man City, but we look like a non league team next to them.
0-3 Three goals down before half time, and Trundle is full steam ahead making excuses for this **** team...
We have been in decline for years, but we are not even competing at this level anymore, we look like cannon fodder for league 1.....
Just getting back home….. Basically, we are way off the pace in every respect. Leicester, Southampton and Leeds are Championship teams with squads comprised of predominantly (lower) PL players. Leeds were quicker in thought and deed, and ran through us at will, particularly in the first 45 minutes. Rushworth basically saved at least 3 ‘1 on 1’ chances - if we’d lost by 6 or 7 we couldn’t have complained. Our midfield is inadequate to compete with teams vying for the automatic promotion spots - ponderous springs to mind. Grimes failed to mark his man too often for comfort; the new Pole was even worse in failing to mark his man - their number 22 had so much time and space in the first half, it was embarrassing. This is where I would take issue with Luke - if we and the people around us could see it, why can’t he when it’s happening right next to him. Ronald didn’t do a great deal - perhaps he’s a ‘fair weather’ player who doesn’t like the rain. If Cullen is our main striker / target man, then Gawd help us. Bashir Humphries is not a Right Back - he played more like Barry Humphries…. Our defence isn’t the best, but they are really let down by a sh*te midfield. There’s a huge rebuilding job in the Summer - whichever League we will be in
Luke may have had a better idea of how bad they played if he sat further up in the stands for a bit ! Just about compete with the bottom 6 at the moment?
I've often thought that. Some good news... we have a new shirt sponsor - Harry Ramsden. We really know how to get battered!
