Morning. Didn’t get my pre-train coffee because some fat bint was buying half the pastries and yoghurts on the stall.

Something needs to be done when they take up a seat and a half too. Shame them into working from home or something.

That’s just going to make the problem worse when they are released at the weekend.
But who catches a train to work, this isn’t the 1890’s

maybe 5 mins earlier to make sure you get a brew. Don’t want to commute without a flat white.

Down here this morning. Had to take my old dear for a hospital appt. Can’t be dealing with sitting around in those places. So she’s in getting seen to and I’ve taken myself off for a walk.

reminds me a bit of Vancouver island around here

minus the bears and wolves like

My lad and his cousin at 3640 ft

Their aliens mate not your family, it's the blue heads that give it away.

Really want to get up there at some point.

Saw the pics with your lad and the ice axe. Are you up there with them ?

Any tips for trails and hikes ? What's the deal with camping ?

I quite fancy a three day, two night hike that sort of thing. But don't want to come off the mountains in a rescue heli or body bag

I'm with them but unfortunately can't do any of the mountains as I'm still recovering from my eye surgery, got to keep out of winds and not too much exertion.
Loads of trails and hikes, wild camping isn't a problem, obviously this time of year the mountains are well into minus figures, really needs planning well if you are staying out over night, short days too doesn't help.
If you want to do a short break like that, probably best fly into Inverness and coach down to somewhere like Aviemore a d set out from there.

I'm all good with the winter camping. Got the right kit for it. We recently did a couple of nights at -4deg on Dartmoor. But the wind and snow is another factor

I'm thinking bikes are probably not the best mode of transport up there ?

I'll do a bit more research and see what the scene is like up there. Looks amazing though and somewhere I've always wanted to go.

    Cheers <ok>

There are miles of bike trails, a mate of mine who has mtb'd all over Europe, says Wolftrax at Laggan, which isn't far from here, is his favourite place ever, looks awesome but I've only done one short trail there and that was squeaky bum time, not sure I'd be up to the high ones.

Our next charity walk, we're think of doing the 9 4000ft plus mountains up here in 7 days, that will be this coming September, plenty of munro's to have a go at.
