With Rothwells effort on Sat, I was thinking what are the most beautiful Saints goals that you have personally witnessed? So not necessarily goals which won matches or were important, simply graded on pure beauty alone and being in the stadium at the time. As someone who was too young and living abroad during Le Tiss' hey day mine are slightly skewed but here's my top 3. Pelle vs QPR Oakley vs Skates Rothwell vs Huddersfield I was fortunate enough to see Boufals live but I prefer a rocket
I've been trying to think about this since Saturday myself. Rothwell's obviously Valery at Old Trafford Prowsey free kick in same match Pahars in the 3-0 v Pompey
Gareth Barry's own goal for Manchester City ! One's not mentioned before: Marsden's dribble, Le Tissier volley - I think in a friendly where the opposition keeper accidentally passes out to him? It's so casual and bent to perfection - can't find it...
How about Danny Wallace overhead against Liverpool, great finish completing a great move with old Frank Worthington and pin point cross from Saint's own physio, Mark Dennis
His attempt at break dancing backwards whilst defending V Chelsea rules that one out for me. To this day I still don't know what he was doing!
Le Tiss chipping Peter Schmeichel in the 6-3. Schmeichel was at his peak and standing on the 6 yard line. I'm convinced he had thought beforehand that if the opportunity came along he would try and chip PS just because of who he was. Not as spectacular as some of his others but sublime skill, absolute football genius.
