We’re selling our better players, replacing them with cheap, crap alternatives and kids from the academy who aren’t ready and surprise, surprise we keep losing football matches. Who’d have thought it eh ?
I can't see any way out for you mate, Methven is an absolute snake who manages to take in people, even intelligent ones. But you only have to watch STID, on Netflix, to see how shallow and arrogant he is. I've absolutely no idea why he wants to be involved in football tbh. I was introduced to him, at Oxford, and he asked for my number to keep in touch to discuss the club from the supporters viewpoint .... I gave him my old number that was discontinued
Yep. Dobbo wanted a slight rise to put him on the same wages as some of the newer players who are sh*t, but he was turned down and told he could leave. He then agreed to join a Hungarian team before the 14/2 (when their window closes) and was travelling over to sign, when CAFC then pulled the plug on the deal. Allegedly Nathan Jones (who joined us last week) stepped in at the last minute and stopped Dobbo leaving. Hopefully he’ll now be offered an improved deal to stay with us. I think it’s going to be a power struggle between Nathan Jones and Andy Scott, who is the clown responsible for our recent crap signings and outgoings of our better players. I don’t think you guys rated Dobbo that highly, but to put things into perspective, he has been our best player over the last two years and virtually all proper Charlton fans want him to stay. Not because he’s the most talented player ever, but because he gives 100% every single game he plays.
Dobson came into a difficult situation but tried in every game, just not what we needed at the time imo.
At our level, Dobbo, Alfie May and Corey Blackett-Taylor were our only top players. We’ve just sold CBT to Derby and they were prepared to let Dobbo leave on a free. Alfie May must be checking his contract as we speak to see if he can get out of it. We’re screwed.
So sad to hear this good club good fans then he got on board the man has no morals and don’t really know why he’s involved in any football club
I was one of the few who liked Dobson, decent footballer and you can't fault his attitude. Good luck keeping him, and in general. Methven etc won't stick around forever, when things get really dicey they'll move on and whoever you get after that will be an improvement.

Yep,me too. One of our good,old historic clubs,currently in a real mess. They need a lifeline to get themselves away from the Spivs and the Chancers. Hope they can find it.
When I last looked, Jan 1st, they looked safe ish, unfortunatly now it looks like they are toast. Shame, as I like them as a club.
I take no pleasure in calling this last June...mind it could've been anyone of us. You could see it coming a mile off and my thoughts are we nearly ended up in the same boat, there's always been respect between our clubs after the 4-4 and it's such a shame it's panning out how it is.
Hope they disappear. One of many nothing southern clubs who only exist by way of the geographical imbalance of wealth in the country. Bye bye caaants
