    Probably right.

We don't get many penalties for example.

I know I missed about 30 seasons due to living overseas, but I think the one before Doucoure's handball goal was Brian Owen's against Tranmere - when his shot went over the Rookery roof, the wind blew it back again and it dropped into the goal.

The folly of having such a small squad may become apparent soon. Bayo, who has a hamstring injury, could be missing for some time so Rajovic is the only fit central striker in the squad. Dele-Bashiru played at right-back yesterday because Andrews can not be expected to play all the games, but this reduces Ismael's options in midfield (where there is already a limited choice).

Ismael was forced to play Dennis as a central striker during the second half, although he is still not yet fully fit. Ismael said in his post-match comments: “But at some point when we are trying to build a player up, some positions are very demanding. If you let him play as a No.9 as his first game then the injury risk will be bigger because he needs to run much more than in the wide positions."

There are still six more games to be played before the cut-off point for 10 yellow cards (resulting in a two match suspension). Both Porteous and Hoedt reached 9 yellow cards yesterday; Livermore already has 8 yellow cards.

I hope that Kayembe and Ngakia will soon be fully fit and that Watford will be able to avoid missing too many key players due to injury or suspension, but it is a cause for concern.

    It was a wondrous sight....
I almost felt sorry for their keeper - Jim Cumbes, later of Aston Villa fame - he had casually wandered behind the goal to collect the ball and panicked when he realised it was dropping in front of the goal. He hot-footed it around to the front but couldn't stop it bouncing into the net.
Interesting character was Jim - one of those sporting freaks, he combined a 17 year football career with a 20 year career in first class cricket - and still found time to run his own business.

Time to give a couple of the U21s another go - Tobi Adeyemo and Michael Adu-Poku? Or even recall Shaq Forde from his loan at Leyton Orient...

Couldn't do any harm - I think we're safe from both promotion and relegation.

Re the soft penalty, Chakvatadse dragged / left his right foot behind and gave the forward the chance to go down. The ref was close and had a clear view. I thought it was a joke at the time but seeing replays you can see it and he didn't complain himself. Stupid really and soft.

Contact doesn't equal a foul. The contact did not initiate the fall. The Leicester player simulated and deceived the referee. Referee was sold a pup, Big Club Charlie decision, absolute shocker.

Judging by this game and some I have seen televised Leicester are using up several seasons of luck in one year, every 50/50 decision and bounce of the ball goes their way, only a couple of minutes I know but before Bayo was injured (when the Leicester defender appeared to stand on his foot as he tried to jump) they were panicking and the Goalie nearly had to change his shorts and over the entire game possession was almost equal with over half their possession involving just passing the ball in their own half, we had 13 attempts to their 6, 8 corners to their 1 and both had 3 attempts on target including their dubious penalty and they gave away 15 fouls to our 11, the most ridiculous free kick they got apart from the penalty was when Andrews was taken out by two of their defenders near the corner flag and the halfwit with the flag signalled a free kick to them,. plus we had a shout for a penalty ourselves which the referee chose to totally ignore
A draw was the absolute minimum we should have got and with their luck a comfortable victory for us
I look forward to them being dismantled in the prem as per Burnley and Sheff United this season
    Rant over

I think if we had a bit more attacking intent ourselves or created other chances we could have easily got something.

Agree they didn’t cut us open except once when we were too quick pressing.
