I think the football one is pointless. They have basically made it a yellow+. If refs won't give a yellow today for fear of having to give a second one they why do the authorities think that they will give more blues to make examples of players? It'll, be 2 weeks enforcement, media outcry and then we won't see these cards until 80mins when games are already decided. Rodri makes cynical fouls in every game, never punished. Odengaard waves his arms an curses at refs every week. No card. If they made this like hockey where a player just stands out for 2 mins for being a dick and it had no tie to a red then refs might use them. In this way it'll just annoy fans and be useless and the same clubs will get away with the same stuff.
Tried watching it on the stream on sky app but doing some stupid tactical view that was just horrible. I don’t want to watch the tactics I want to just watch what’s happening close up
Absolute stonewall pen in forest game. Not sure why taking so long to look at this. And somehow it’s not been given
Real smashing Girona (who aren't the fairy tale team (owned by Man City)) 4-0, Bellingham with 2. Leverkusen 2-0 up against Bayern, 5pt gap if they win
Neecatsle get away with absolute stonewall pen and then go up other end and score. No idea how var is so bad at times. Just get the simple things right it’s not difficult.
it'd be the ultimate hilarity of Saint Harry moved to bayern in the one horse league and finished 2nd. he can win the golden boot there and hilarity ensues.
yup. alonso is too big for that league but kane found his level. 5 point gap is not decisive but it could increase shortly.
do bayern have a game in hand? nope. city will win theirs. plan for the worst not the best. cuty will be leading us when we meet. I say 0-0 at 51mins in the Everton game yesterday and though, that won't last and went and watched first bit of rugby instead. sure enough 2-0 win.
Why? We have no influence over anything, so "planning" doesn't enter into it. We're passive observers. For me, being a supporter is getting behind your team every time, not anticipating defeat. Of course we know what we're up against, and what's likely to happen - but while there's still a chance you remain hopeful and supportive. Imagine the comments if the players showed the same level of defeatism as some of the fans.
if fans actually planned for the worst they'd turn up less half arsed. they barely mouthed you'll never walk alone at the start yesterday. just a little.pikc up on the chorus. the place was flat all game if fans were supportive as you say they'd be lifting the team from the off. our best fans are away fans we have to make every game at anfield a boiling cauldron of support. we certainly didn't do that yesterday. anyway being real and seeing what it takes doesn't equal defeatist.
I'm a bit fed up with people who are beaten before they start claiming they're just being realistic, tbh. Realistically, we could all say at the beginning of the season that City will win it so why bother. It most definitely is defeatism no matter how you try to rationalise it.
I'm talking in general terms to anyone that it applies to. It's not an attack on individuals but an expression of my own beliefs. When I said "you" I could have said "one", but who the hell talks like that? We're the ones having the exchange of views, so naturally my points address the ones you're making, and vice versa. To enter into anything with an expectation of defeat is - by one definition at least - defeatism. I've been accused of optimism (as though that's somehow a bad thing) or of being deluded simply because I'm not prepared to roll over and die because things aren't looking great. My view of being a fan is get behind your team and expect the best. It won't always happen, but you deal with that after the event, not in anticipation of it. As some bloke once said: "We'll ****in' smash 'em", every time.
