Definitely. And Carvalho seems to do this too - but he hasn’t shown a ‘good’ side to his game though.

The only positives of today for me are that Omur and Zaroury (again) played with speed and intent.

It’s games like that that make me think we don’t have a sniff of promotion. Even if we did make top 6, we wouldn’t stand a chance.

So what you’re saying is, make sure to book off the play off weekend from work, because we’re going to Wembley & getting promotion!<cheers>

If the season started today with the squad of players we have now we would all be fancying ourselves as being able to challenge for the top 2 spots so that’s how we should be looking to see out the season.

Not this season we wouldn't. If we can finish fourth in terms of form from now until the end of the season I'd be happy.

    Pre match Swans manager -
‘Squeeze them from the kick off they’ll pass it around forever and will stay that way - they set their own pace ‘
‘After that if we get a ahead all we do is move as a unit , have two men where the ball lands and win it’
They don’t tackle and they are playing with 5 no 10’s so no scorers
    Boyos!

Well based on that Cameo he should. Reminds me a little of Tufan always looking to move the ball quickly

Swansea pressed well at times and defended well. They won pretty much every second ball. They had us sussed from minute 1. We were shocking.

Given the players we’ve signed, there’s no excuse anymore.

I’m surprised their Expected goals was 0.75. They should have had at least 3 today from their chances. Us on the other hand, 1. Appalling.

Not sure why we took off Zaroury (the tiger) or didn't play more to him when he was on...

Yeah seemed very Philogene focussed when we shouldn't have been.

We have some very nice footballers but not enough who will tackle and graft for the team.

Not the same things happening, today was different things not working.

We didn’t create chances and the passing was poor, rather than us not finishing what we created.

Everyone had a bad game. It happens but I don’t think it’s worth dwelling on it.

Yet again, familiar issues. Execution of everything in the final third was so, so poor. I can't understand how it can be possible to so consistently mess everything up the second it's near their box. It was everything today. Almost everyone's first touch seemed off; Carvalho in particular it was bouncing up all over the place every time he received it. Morton is a brilliant passer normally but twice he had pretty simple through balls where we'd done all the hard work in the buildup to give him the time to play a man in on goal and both times he overhit it. These are the moments that should be goals and we seem to fail time and time again, week after week, on the execution of basic skills in the final third.

The other familiar issue of course is going behind in the first half and it costing us the game. They defended very well, but that's always easier when you're a goal up. If we could concentrate at a corner it'd be a different game. Yes we weren't playing well at that point, but games change quickly at 0-0. At 0-1 they so easily drift away from you as the away team shuts up shop.
