Yeah - it shocked me a bit that this team was capable of being so bad. We really need to rebuild some confidence over the next few games.
Yes, it was a totally unexpected bad game from us. What I don’t get is that the team just allowed themselves to be bullied off the ball, allowed Arsenal to dominate without really laying a glove on them. Given they have only lost one other game this season, you have to make allowances. It was not the losing that really hurt, it was the performance, or lack of spirit and pride. The supporters were great, they deserved better
Burnley home Brentford away luton home 3 games in next 10 days before cup final. Need to smash out 9/9 in those so that not falling behind anymore than 1 point behind city before we play forest then city in March.
Which one of those do you envisage takes points off City ? For that matter the Brentford game looks tricky too
Thing is both games are at the Etihad. Cheslea hot and cold, same as MU I suppose..The derby thing might spark MU into a cohesive unit temporarily, who knows.
Almost delusional Can’t remember the last time I saw either of those two teams put in a shift at Etihad I suppose by my own crazy logic they are due one But it will come next year when we are in transition imho
How many of the games where they have dropped points did you see it coming? We'd probably predict them winning before every single game, but they don't.
But they do win most They have won the last three premier leagues. No I don’t normally get the exact games right but with the teams in and around us I am usually not a million miles away more so with the types of games they will lose or draw city will drop a few more points but not to Chelsea or Utd at the Etihad and if they do we will have dropped more prior to that game - that’s just how I see it I had us down to lose to Arsenal not many did. Many had us down for a good season last season I felt that the failure of the previous season in terms of expectation, coupled with expectations going into the new season, with the lack of break, coupled with the amount of games played would have us in a bit of trouble and I was right and I was very much in the minority because we tend to prefer optimism on this board over pragmatism I think we will win plenty of games - I just don’t like tempting the football gods I have loads of little daft quirks I won’t wear any Liverpool clothing on Matchday The amount of times we have drawn a game and it turns out I have got LFC socks or such like on is crazy I know it has no effect but the coincidences are massive I also have a game I play on a Friday that I always feel seems linked to our performance at the weekend - ie if my team wins Liverpool do Ftr I won yesterday so expecting a win later but now I have said it It will probably be a draw Etc etc lmao
Sounds like gonna be a changed team. Lots of injuries and a bout of flu going round the camp. Rumours that Ali and Gomez are out.
So do we, and a handful of other teams. None of that changes the fact that all teams lose games they weren't expected to, and that applies to City as well. Quite honestly, it might be ok for a bit of banter, but it's nuts to really believe that anything we say do or wear has any influence whatsoever on a football game. If you think you're seeing a correlation it's just confirmation bias.
