Is it to replace yellow cards?

 

No , don’t think so (never read article ) but read about plan previously - think the plan is to still have yellow and red for serious offences . You accumulate the points for bans etc

they’d act the same as yellow - ie two blues or a blue n a yellow = a red card.

Might stop the fouls players do to get banned from next less significant match etc as well .

 

If we’re going to take anything from rugby it should be stopping the clock for a stoppage in play. Doesn’t mean it stops every time the ball goes out for a throw in or whatever but main stoppages being for player treatment, subs and var checks which is where we are losing too much time. Its all meant to get added on as injury time but we end up losing most of that too.

 

Agreed - the way they try to do it just now doesn’t work.

Also , only captains can talk to referees about decisions . Players surrounding the referees needs to stop .
