How come the Anfield road end still has restricted views? I'd have thought the extension/rebuild would have got rid of them?

where are you being located for the fa cup?

the only thing I can think of is I've seen some seats near the vomatoried thst have non transparent safety barriers blocking view in the other end of the Sir Kenny.

there's a spot at the very back row of the new stand where the floodlights block view of the kop end goal if you are standing (which you are not meant to go do)

I assume in the fa cup you have 100% of the bottom tier allocated so the odd corner at the and side could be where it is?

everywhere else is absolutely prime viewing.

Ah sounds like it's not like the old letterbox views then. Those seats were disgraceful.

Yeah looks like the whole lower tier but starting from the opposite side to normal? Not a chance we'll sell all of them mind so you'll prob get 2-3k back.

Everyone stands at away games don't they. Doubt they'll enforce that tbh.

no it's nothing like that any more.

yes they have been giving the away fans for cup games starting from the skd side. it's supposed to be the entirely lower tier if you sell it.

the lower tier is safe standing now. its the upper tier that's massively steep that requires bottle to stand in. there's no rials up there.

I cannot wait to see this blue card in action.

rodri will hack through sides with immunity while konate will be off for 10 after 5mins.

I cannot wait to see the tricks some managers will try on to get away with a blue card.

    Head injury pandemic incoming

I don't think the sin bin idea is terrible, but don't know we need a new card. Extra card = extra complications and arguing about "was that a yellow, a blue, or a red" and sometimes refs are going to give a yellow and others a blue or red for the same offense and people are going to scream 'bias'.

Yellow card = 5 min sin bin? (10 seems too harsh to me)... Forget about the blue card.

Can you imagine if Thiago had got one against Arsenal, his whole season could have been 3 minutes <laugh>

Also, why Blue. We use Green in Hockey and so do most other 3 card sports.

Green, Yellow, Red...... revolutionary idea that one.

I'd rather they stop tinkering and just implement the current rules properly.

Really don’t see the need for it.

At grassroots I get it, abuse of the ref etc is totally wrong and should be stamped out. But then again just send players off. If 30 year old is acting a **** on a Sunday morning a blue card isn’t going to make him stop.

At pro level, not sure it’s needed and if anything just going to have such a huge impact on the game. We know that when teams go down to 10 it totally changes their tactics.

What happens when a keeper gets a blue card? You sub on a keeper for outfield player then sub that keeper back off again when first keeper comes back on?

Youre going to have 10 mins of time wasting to wait until it gooes back to 11v11

I can think two possible reasons.

    1) Red/Green colour blindness is fairly common in men. Red/Blue is rare.

    2) Green would be perceived as being less severe than yellow in the green-yellow-red hierarchy. The blue card slots between red/yellow. In fact, in hockey, is green not considered a mere warning? Two greens making a yellow?

I mean, I don't really care either way. It's not going to impact the sport that much. Some rules changes over the years have helped,.such as the pass back rule, that was good tinkering... Others such as the offside rule changes have not.

The extra card isn't going to make or break the sport in my opinion. I do think sin bin for a few mins might make people less.likely to commit strategic bad fouls though.

Yes. Goal-line technology and VAR (despite the latter's miserable failure rate) were designed to aid the officials in their decision making. A sin-bin would completely change the course of a game, potentially several times during a game.
It's a definite no from me, just properly enforce the rules as they stand.
We already have constant disagreement over the cards we do have, why on earth would we want to introduce another one?
