**** promotion... Tom is notorious on our board for getting things spectacularly wrong btw so you should expect a 5-0 home win.
Come on, got to get out of your comfort zone and back into the big bad world sometime. Oil cheats, unsustainable expenditure, VAR, - how can you resist?
No, you're totally right - I'd always rather play a struggling Prem team in the cups than a high-flying Championship side. I'm just glad we don't have to travel to the south coast for it, but it certainly is no gimme. If you play your in-form 1st eleven and we rest certain players (I'd be astonished if Macca and Trent play in it, for instance), we will find it 10 times harder than when we played West Ham in the LC at Anfield a few months ago, for example. Not getting excuses in beforehand, but recognising that you'll be a lot harder to beat than most teams in the bottom half/middle of the Prem.
it'll be fine. win, lose or draw we move on with the target of 4th and europa league win. fa cup is just a bonus as is the league cup.
Let's face it, every team, no matter who, wants to beat Liverpool. I can't remember a team ever putting out a weakened side against us even when we play our youngsters.
Yeah, look how excited Arsenal got over it - even though we handed it to them on a plate. And Spurs, even though VAR gave it to them.
Exactly. I couldn't wait to switch off the Arsenal game so didn't see it myself but it shows just how much we are viewed as the team to beat by the over exuberant celebrations from both sets of players, them and Spurs, taking selfies etc. Nothing wrong with patting yourself on the back but my goodness, ott or what.
I can recall few like wenger playing kids while we played kids in the league Cup etc. but yes it's very rare especially away from home for any side to set themselves up for a drubbing.
it's fine. what it displays to anyone who's been at the sharp end thst these players have no clue what it's really like to win. by all means give it a job well done at times but both spurs and arsenal would be laughed at by pep. he'd know if they think 3 point is that big that they will fold. it's all about mentality and getting the job done week in and week out so putting the big blow out effort in once then going away and messing up the next week is about as useful as a comb to pep.
What makes it more cringeworthy is the fact that in both those games, they were gifted the win. Neither game did the opposition make the chances themselves. I'm hoping it's not going to be a 'thing'. Klopp did the tribute to the Kop after the draw with West Brom just weeks into his tenure and admitted post match that he didn't realise 'it 'wasn't part of the English culture to celebrate with the fans' (players themselves looked embarrassed) but it actually turned out to be a significant moment in the start of the fans relationship with Klopp.
Fairly confident that Brighton have been high up the list before but can’t remember whether it was for or against
