That’s a kind view of events, some would say.

That second half was pure dominance, 3-0 with 3 absolute sitters missed in the process.

Mara looks so uncomfortable on that left hand side and will do anything to avoid controlling on his left foot, so managing to score 2 with that handicap is even better.

    Dibling looks outrageous.

Plenty of other highlights in there but it could be an essay.

    Have that Wesley!

We will probably get torn apart by Liverpool but it will be a good test of how far we have come.

I didn't go tonight, does Dibling have a touch of the Le Tiss about him?

He is a really powerful runner for his age, and that was against a Watford side that are land of the giants. I'm going to enjoy watching his development.

Le Tiss was such an anomaly, I don't think anyone is comparable.

Dibling seems more like a Grealish type. But maybe that's just because he wears his socks the same way.

    This is so true.
Genuinely the only player you can compare Le Tiss to is Messi. He was that skilful. Can’t think of anyone else that comes close to his style, even now. No one else makes the game look so easy

Not sure Le-tiss has a comparison, certaiy not Messi. Messi drives at defenfers, not really Le- tiss style. Le tiss was more a shimmy, to dumbfound a defender before getting a shot off, or before doing it again to another defender. The comment to Matt, he was so good it all looked in slow motion, whereas I think Messi moved quite a bit quicker. Both magnificent players in their own rights

This, but he also seems very in control of the ball and in maybe a bit of a change for someone coming from our academy, seems quite physically strong for his age. He wasn’t getting shoved off the ball.

Just got back and I got soaked walking back to the car but I really don't care. I won over £50 from a purely speculative bet I put on just before kick off simply because I had a fiver in my account. Oh, and I witnessed a special performance from Tyler Dibling. Mara got MOTM but that was a travesty in my book. Mara scored 2 really good goals but he owes quite a bit to Dibling for the 2nd goal. It's his strength that really surprised me more than anything. He just refused to go to ground (ironically he got booked for diving at one stage!) despite being pulled back for several seconds. He was completely fearless throughout, he took his man on constantly, is composed on the ball and has great vision. In what were really difficult conditions, I thought he was absolutely superb and he's certainly given Martin food for thought. Glad he signed a new contract a few months ago. Problem is if Russell starts him at Anfield and goes and plays like that he's going to very quickly attract attention. Chelsea saw his talent but thankfully he decided to come back.

No. Completely different types of player. He reminded me of a young Thierry Henry but maybe with less pace. Now I'm not saying he's going to be as good as Henry but his powerful runs from out wide, his vision and his ability on the ball gave me those vibes.

Ive seen Messi in the flesh a couple of times and the comparison is a fair one I think. He often stands around outside the game waiting to make things happen.
I think if messi put on about 5 stone they’d be similar players <laugh>

You have to sort of cherry pick the best bits from a whole bunch of players; could pass like Gerrard; cross like Beckham; shoot like Shearer, control like Zidane etc

But then put all those traits into a guy who barely broke a sweat, and just sort of hobbled around the pitch doing what he wanted.

Like for like I think Cantona is a decent comparison.
