    No.

You can't have an opinion on that, none of us can, because we know nothing. What you mean by that is you hope it was Joyce and not Walsh, but unless Walsh has told you he'd never heard of Chester, Stewart, etc. then you can't have an opinion on it at all.

    This is probably about right.

Proud sums it up pretty well, but there's no way any of us can know how responsible Joyce may or may not be.

whilst there is no doubting that the work we did with frazier campbell has helped massively with citys reputation There is No way any of the kids would have come IF Warren Joyce had given Hull a bad vibe. Any of us could av done what walshie did re. the man urd kids. but with stewart already here it would not be hard to get the likes of evans, chester, dudgeon and now brady here. i guess that more could follow even if brady goes back i jan. But the point of issue is that Joyce has played a big part in them coming. To think otherwise is silly and the players themselves Especially Brady credit Joyce in saying Hull was the place to go to. The facts and history no longer lies does it. There developement is great. I would also like to think that Hull are on the radar for many more in time.

Whatever happens no one can so bad as to let Turner go and replace him with Sonko!

Pay £1M for Folan, £2.5M for Ghilas, £2.5M Cousin, £2.5M Mouyokolo, £750K for L1 ***an

Develop a strategy based on building a team with +32 year old players

Sign a £15M deal for a guy with knackered knee's

TWF this response is for you to respond to ;)

Hey at the time Mouyokolo was a big gamble at £2.5m but he turned out to be a terrific center back for us and wish we still had him now despite our sturdy defence. Think if we stayed up and he had another season with us we would have got a fairly large sum for him in the end...

Only Ghilas (and possibly Bullard) stand out there as below market value.

In addition, do you think we got value for money with McLean?

I'd also add that age doesn't matter, because in this day and age players are only going to be at the club 2-3 years anyway.

Now before anyone else jumps in, you've chosen not to comment on the Turner / Sonko swap, does this mean that this met with your approval?

You seriously think that apart from Ghilas and Bullard were good value? Really ?

I agree with you about McLean, if we compare super sub Folans goal tally in the championship he was good value for a very brief spell. After that though he was ****e!

Last comment, ifs and buts aside Mouyokolo did start to look promising not sure he was ever worth what we paid.

Thanks for stepping over the white line and putting you're best foot forward.

It didn't really work out did it? It'd be like replacing Ashbee with Harper or something daft like that.

Difference is back then we didn't have to pretend all decisions made by the club were the right one, so it gets more criticism.

We paid market value at the time. I don't think there's any complaints to be made no, we were in the Premiership, not the Championship. £2.5m will only get you an average player up there.
He never cut it in the Premiership, but if we're realistic at £1m he was better value for money than McLean or Fryatt.
I don't think he played enough for us to tell tbh, but as I said before, £2.5m isn't that much in the Prem.

I think McClean is fine for what we paid. Puts a shift in, he has scored some match winning points this season. A Derby fan I know said "your front line were a right handful" itcan be as much about how players are asked to play. Barmby I think will embrace less restrictive attacking football.

I agree with all of this except about Fryatt, think he's great value for money.

And just to add a little bit about Cousin, he was definitely worth £2.5m he was a very talented player, the only reason you could argue otherwise IMO is because he never played, but he never played due to Phil Browns piss poor man management skills and the naughty step.
