He should be available for Brighton which is a huge bonus as I'd assumed (as did most of the world) that they'd make the final.

Question is who does he replace? The default option is Werner but tbh the German has performed much better than Kulusevski recently. I also feel that without him and Johnson in the front 4 that we lack pace up there.

We should check what sort of condition he comes back in, but he should replace Werner.
That's no reflection on the German's form and he should definitely be involved too.
A lot of our players don't look 100% to me and we need those that can be at that level.

Both their RO16 and QF went to extra time, so he's played a huge amount of football over a period when most elite players enjoy at least 8-10 days with no football.

I think Werner is the obvious player to make way as that is Son's best position and Richarlison has quite unexpectedly cemented his place on the team sheet.

Kulu is in poor form but the best front three right now is still Son, Richarlison and Kulu for me.

Werner and Brennan off the bench when the opponents is tired as their pace will stretch tired legs.

They had 70% possession, Son, Lee Kang-In and Hwang Hee-Chan up front and had 0 shots on target.
Klinsmann is a terrible manager, by all accounts. German Southgate.
Looking at the videos of Son after the semi final defeat I will not be surprised if he takes some time to to get back any form , he has shouldered the blame to his nation and looks like mentally he is struggling
Hope I'm wrong

He knows he's going to get a great reception on Saturday, so perhaps that'll help?
Plenty of Koreans will be there to cheer him on.

He knows that he is coming towards the end of his career and that this may have been his last Asian tournament for his national side. I'm sure he'll still be part of the Korean set up for the next one in 2027, but he'll be 34 years of age and almost certainly nowhere near the quality he currently has (which itself is a huge step down from where he was 2 years ago).

It probably hurts like hell knowing that was his best and probably final chance to lead his nation to glory, and they lost out to an underdog.

Qatar just knocked out Iran, so it's them vs Jordan in a final that nobody will care about.

Nigeria went through on penalties in the end, but there was late VAR drama.
Osimhen thought he'd put them 2-0 up in the 85th minute. Wrong.
The goal was overturned and South Africa were awarded a penalty at the other end! <laugh>

Something similar happened in Holland when they first introduced it.

Just seen the clips of Son returning to training.

He looks exhausted and mentally drained. Hope he can pick himself up quickly.
