They don't pay the same and it's misleading to call it rent, it's actually just a contribution towards the cost of staging the games.
You cobbled something together? Consistency is the key. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
So the club want the land? the council don’t want to give them it? it’s too small for all the teams to be there? so what would the club do with it? What can be put there excluding the car park as that’s for the fair.
And you could hear every chant and song from the, erm, packed crowd of 4,000 ( had to look that up elsewhere because everything was mentioned in the report except the attendance).....'.ringing arround the stadium'...........in the 40-0 home defeat, and of course the marvellous fans were publicly thanked. Next issue 'City's goal should have been disallowed' And the next.....'City lose £21m'.......
As a lad, and this is the first time I have ever admitted this, I spray painted ANCIENT MONUMENT on the concrete backing to this terrace facing the railway line. This was pre 1970. There was a bit of graffitti gathering on the wall and it annoyed me that our old ground was treated with such disrespect. I'm sure a couple of the old crush barriers were still in position in those days as well as and certainly a metal framework to one of the stands and other stuff lying about. I was always hoping to find a metal sign or something connected to City from the old ground, all I ever saw was piles of grass cuttings from the cricket circle and evidence of fly tipping.
There was a bit of brickwork which had 3d painted on it. ( For younger people that is not a reference to computer graphics or films requiring special glasses but 3 old pence.)
And for those younger people who don't know what 3 old pence means it's a quarter of a shilling, or half 'a tanner, or maybe a park drive and a stick of hard licorice.
Do you, as a businessman, think that is a healthly relationship? and if this is the case, should not todays HDM lead story be 'SMC lose £21m' and not Hull City...?
Always liked a young lady with nice threepenny bits. There as a shop us 13 year olds used to get cigs from at 2 for a tanner until the police got wind of what was going on.
It wasn’t for them selling loose cigs, it was the age of the ones the police observed them been sold to. They were come down on pretty severely from what I remember.
Acun owns Hull City and the SMC and I don’t really think you can have an unhealthy relationship with yourself. The SMC hasn’t just lost £21m, that’s a cumulative loss run up over many years, mainly under the Allams.
I’ve often fallen out with myself, not spoke to myself for days sometimes. Not healthy especially when I can’t decide which part of me is right
So it's the Allams fault? Hull Fc only 'contribute' to staging their own games.....adding to the debt of £21m to the SMC, which is owned by Hull City's owner and you are claiming it is mainly the Allams fault? Unbelievable.
