I would think they are edging their bets with him going. You can tell that James and King and possibly Williams are not staying as well.
plenty saying Manning is out of depth. Lose the next three pressure pot boiling. Manning has no plan B.
A previous city manager told an acquaintance of mine last week LM will get City promoted in the next two years. Not saying I agree just trying to add some balance to the reaction to the performance vs Leeds
Don’t see it myself unless Lansdowns spend on top quality LM has no chance. Remember his stats are not good so far.
Thank you. The point was if Bristol City were attempting to play similar football to Guardiola (their not) they wouldn't have a keeper like O'leary. Sure Ederson makes mistakes, his shot stopping ability is modest. He is in goal because of his exceptional, remarkable passing ability. Guardiloa has prized that ability over shot stopping as its intrinsic to Man City's possession football.
I know what your saying but Brentford's goal would have never happened either. Max only ever finds touch. Anyway we know all keeper's make errors (Arsenal v Liverpool). For me Max doesn't command his box, he only comes to collect or punch when under no pressure. He is definitely not the bravest/maddest........and we know being a sandwich short of a picnic helps being a keeper.......and the Coventry goal was one from the Downs League. Being one of ours then there's nothing I'd like more for Max to succeed but .....
Lansdowns i would say -nowt to to do with Nige telling them what is required and they through their toys out the pram cuz they did not like the truth.
So, 3 successive bottom half finishes are all on the Landsdowns, and NOTHING to do with Nige. Yet you call out LM as relegation form after a dozen or so games, and not a bean to spend. Behave.... He inherited a squad that had higher finishes before he came in, he also had a reasonable amount of money given him considering ours financial status. Yes he had to let a lot of contracts run out to clear the wage bill, but he had enough at his disposal, and with his experience to do better than he did. Add that to his poking the bear (the board), what outcome did he expect? I said for a while, I think he engineered it that way tbh.
The older age majority, yes. I think he was unfortunate to get sacked, but he wasn't the savior that you and Red Robin proclaim him to be. He did an ok job, nothing more. His style of football was also not great.
Also, if you take the RR view, why is he now paying out on LM, who inherited the squad that NP allegedly wasn't supported over, and don't forget LM had no money to strengthen in the window just gone. All I see is him blaming LM, not the board, yet when it comes to Nige, it was all the board, and not Nige. It doesn't stack up.
Despite his faults I felt, for the first time for a while, the team always put in a shift, worked for each other and we were pulling together as a club and fan base, all of that has gone and it’s back to the LJ days of fan base and club not in a good place. If we ever want to succeed that needs to be addressed.
2 Points of playoffs when the unexpected happened-After next week losing another 6 points could look very dodgy indeed. 10 points of bottom three as we stand today.
