Full of his own self importance and neediness to prove he's right all the time. This involves him always having to explain his posted utterings multiple times, totally unaware that he could have articulated his point(s) more clearly much earlier in the inevitable chain of posts that ensue.

In addition there is a tendency for sarcasm and insult to eventually occur. In a very brief encounter he kindly pointed out that I was illiterate !

Wisest thing is to not engage, as several others have suggested in the past. He may eventually get the message? Although his post (#480) above reeks of arrogance so perhaps not.

TC you are far too intelligent and articulate for this forum , thought I was reading a psychological thriller for a while LOL

FWIW I think there are a lot of posters getting very excited and struggling to contain their expectations - it is to be expected , I have the same problem every time I tee off !!!

I haven’t got time for a days debate Syd but it’s a slightly different opinion to the majority on here, probably yours included. It’s getting to the point on here that unless you see everything as rosey as the clique (even though LR sees it the same way) it’s not worth posting.

Are you replying to me or Howden? I have no issue with a difference of opinion, my point was there was 7 pages of it. If it was me involved I'd get criticised (hey look, you even snuck a reference in your post..) that's all. We've heard the complaints, people aren't going to agree, either complain about something new or give the new players more than a game to bed in. I'm not the only one evidently getting tired of the same comments from the same people but I'm the easy one to go after about it and that's fine.

It's interesting though that you mention a clique who are pro-Rosenior (I believe they're colloquially known as 'City supporters' ;) ) when I think there's a much more apparent clique on here.

It's the sheer irony of your posts prolonging what had completely died off as a discussion point that baffles me about this. The only reason it'll continue now is because you dredged it back up again. It wasn't even much of an argument, more a back and forth discussion with some quite honest and differing opinions tied in (which I quite enjoyed). If we can't discuss the performance on the match day thread then where can we?

You've just said you don't mind a difference of opinion, so just let it go - instead you popped up and started finger wagging because some people said they found a lot of the game boring. That's their opinion and they're entitled to it. The chances created would probably back that up in this instance. I don't agree personally but I can see why people might come to that conclusion. For all we controlled the ball we didn't do a lot with it, and on another day we drop 2 points again if we don't create and score more. I must have said this umpteen times now, but that might change naturally with the new personnel. It also might not, in which case we need to take a long hard look at the way we use the ball in order to do more with it.

The reason it comes up game after game is because so far, this hasn't changed much - and its something many people find a sticking point. It doesn't mean by default they want the club to fail or the manager sacked or whatever people want to take from it. It just is what it is as an assessment of what people are seeing.

If this topic goes on for another 6 pages I just hope you realise why. I thought it was pretty cut and dry yesterday that people do want us to succeed. To come on now and make out you're not a City supporter if you think there's room for improvement is exactly the problem on this forum people are alluding to.

I 'dredged up' a discussion by replying to a post that was made one minute before mine? I'm sorry I wasn't awake during the bulk of the discussion, but that kind of comes with the territory. I'm sorry if that bothers you.

Finger wagging. <laugh> Howden said no one had said they weren't enjoying LR's style so I pointed out Rico had said he was bored.

If anyone 'dredged' up the discussion it was Geo replying this morning. But as I suggested above, there's an easy target to blame in these discussions I suppose.

Oh, a nascent pile-on aimed at one regular poster. That’s unedifying.

Easiest thing is just agree to leave it at that like me and Howden did it really is that simple don't have to say anything that could start it off again, even though Howden was being Negative all the time to everything and forcing his opinion on people and lots of other things (awaits the backlash) :emoticon-0102-bigsm.

    Only Messing HT.

For someone intent on this not going another 6 pages you're doing an awful lot of unnecessary replying.

Unlike you I don't need to resort to personal insults. If you don't like posters engaging in a discussion then a discussion board isn't for you. I'm sorry if you perceived me as dragging back to life a discussion where I responded to Howden's post posted a minute before mine, but I think there's a little bit of confirmation bias that goes into this board at times.

    Best to leave it there.

It got very dull after that opening flurry. If anyone had started watching on 20 minutes they would be saying we were absolutely ****e.

As it is, we managed to scrape a win with a fortuitous goal which should never have stood (about time one like that went our way), but the lacklustre performance absolutely left a lot to be desired.

Yep! And I acknowledged that I made a mistake because it showed up as a new post when I opened the thread on my phone. I even apologised, but looks like it'll still be held against me.
