Good post I agree with you on the mentality bit confidence plays a huge part in performance if that improved I think our game and tactics would improve.

My mrs used to say the same about me in the bedroom a nice way to say I was ****e :emoticon-0100-smile.

Pretty decent Tshirt tbf. The club really are doing a good job at the moment with this sort of thing.

This is just like a small example of what amount of work our owners and staff now do in all aspects and areas of running this club, they are doing an amazing job.

Even Rosie agrees we need to be better at the top end…so I’m not sure how agreeing with him on here suddenly becomes negative

Don’t look negative at the end of games.

Because we don't just concede from defensive errors, if we are 1-0 up and the opposition score a worldly, ping a cross in and it takes a unlucky deflection for an own goal, the opposition just work a chance and score full stop etc it's points dropped....if we are 2/3-0 up then it makes no difference.

Like it or not, we don't create enough chances, shots on target etc.... we already look very good going forward. We can also dominate possession and pass people to death as much as we like. But if we continue to struggle finish it of, it will cost us going forward in games, as it has previously

It just has to change, it's as simple as that.... And I'm sure it will.

Or maybe just give the opposition a bit of credit for restricting us to that.

If that's the case then it's happening way to often and we need a better system.

It's ok, you're allowed to just admit that we just don't create enough clear cut chances for the possession and dominance we have. It's not ( as much as some like to try and say ) negative. It's just being honest and realistic to our weaknesses and areas to improve as I'm sure it will.

I would like to see more goals like everyone but opposing teams do their homework on other teams and adapt if we can’t get through to create a chance that maybe be because the other team anticipates what we might do.

Pretty sure if the players thought they could just pop the ball in the net then they would.

Well if that's the case then we need to be able to adapt and overcome the teams that do that to us if we want to be a promotion winning team. If we can't do it then unfortunately we need a coach / manager who can. Or do we just accept that other teams and or opposition coaches are better then us ?

Promotion winning teams find a way.

theres a reason attacking players cost the most
scoring goals is hard, football is a low scoring game

Did anyone notice how many low balls were driven into the 6 yd box area only to hit a defender because I REPEAT we had no strikers on the pitch - Sharp was on the bench and the new lad - Sharp would not have pressed enough late in the game so maybe that’s why he didn’t t come on . LR took the gamble that we would score with Jaden back and the new guys so didn’t pick him - it nearly didn’t come off that’s all .

Which we do that is why we are in a position to challenge for promotion and atm there is no promotion winning team only challengers of which we are one.

Your absolutely right, but the odds of scoring get better then more shots on target you have. We have some fantastic attacking talent and hopefully we will see more from them
You're correct we are one, nobody is saying we aren't. But even Liam has said, we should have more points on the board now. We can't ride our luck for the remainder of the season, as with how close this league is, one stupid mistake or goal full stop in a 1-0 game to make us draw 1-1 could be the difference between making the play offs or not. We should be going out and putting teams to the sword whenever possible. So that come the end of the season we are one of the promotion winning teams.

You can try and hide from it all day if you want, but it is what it is and I'm sure others are getting just as bored of this back and forth as I am, so let's just leave it there.

I honestly wouldn't say possession = dominance if you don't do enough with the ball. At the moment it's uncommon that we do. We went through a patch a few months ago where we were creating quite a lot of chances and not finishing them or shooting wide a lot. At the moment we're back to creating less chances but being more clinical when we get them. Hopefully the new lads will make more of it, or the not so new lads take more gambles utlising the space we can create out wide now.

One big positive over the past few months is the goals we've scored that started from accurate long balls. It's shown we can mix it up when needed and it's worked for us at times. I honestly believe if we play the possession game with more impetus on getting the ball forward quicker we'd reap the rewards from it. A bit more bravery and confidence to take on that killer pass sooner and we'd potentially be lethal. This might come naturally with the quality we've added.

I agree we will leave it, I trust LR enough for him to solve any issues if we have any with the experience and know how he has of being a player who has been through it.
