he played extremely averagely and was woeful in front of goal. sorry.

the reality is konte and vvd looked leggy and had zero hassle about them to get back in. that was nothing got to do with havertz.

konate is quick but was burned by martinelli which shows how stiff he was.

vvd couldn't get back in, he repeated his errors during the week of not getting in his block etc. it was his worst performance in probably 5 years and that includes when returning from injury.

    it was Maguire bad <laugh>

you are talking about a player who should be a 10 who was a fast creative type thats been relegated to being a **** target man?

saka had room because gomez was 4 miles in field pretending to be a cm and martinelli had room because trent was mules up the park and not getting back.

we never got a solid line of 4 all game really. why? basucase that's the attacking tactic we wanted

we got in at 1-1 and a more pregamtic manager would have parked 4 across the back and hit it long at arsenal's weaknesses but we did not. we went and tried to fix some issues with the same people then sent on more of the same.

if vvd had bothered to head that ball up in the air rather than let it drop and it was still 1-1 there was a chance that game ends 1-1.

that's how poor arsenal finishing was. how many did arsenal pass right out of play?

bollocks he spent most of the game jumping into people and crashing to the ground holding his head for no apparent reason .
Oh and he should have been sent off imo for the deliberate tipping of VVD

PS you deserved to win but you were very cynical yesterday

These two comments above just reinforce that Havertz had a good game <laugh>

Lol, I listened to it on the radio as it goes <laugh>

Anyway, Havertz was effective without scoring. He kept your CB's busy and he directly contributed for our first goal.

We also won because we pressed you up the pitch and didn't allow you to play out. Also our double pivot of Rice and Jorginho controlled the midfield.

Great game last night Lakers won without James or Davis. You had to be there.

no he wasn't. you needed to see it to believe what we did.

a bit of a dust up with a forward is no big deal. especially when konate won most of the jeaders but our **** midfield didn't bother getting back in so the headers went to your players lol.

seriously this is arsenal a passing side with top direct runners hoofing it as a big lad who is not a target man!

as I said we didn't have a defensive line and we left macallister on his own against two while Joe gomez wandered in to help so saka had the run of the right.

and arsenal still could not score any more.

gravenberch was woeful all game but we dropped Jones in beside macallister second half and you were doing nothing until a harmless clearance was let over his own head by vvd.

lfc were abject under little real pressure after 25mins. we passe it aimlessly at the back with 3 v 2 or more and still couldn't pass it in front of each other.

arsneals press was good and the condensed the middle as gomez and diaz coming off the left meant it was easy to do so.

if you'd actually seen the game and the state of vvd jogging back at times you'd know who poor it was.

arsenal deserved all 3 points and should have been out of sight at half time but wandered in at 1-1 having been really poor in front of goal again. it's really that simple. we absolutely robbed that goal and didn't create much of anything real for ourselves.

but the biggest sin of all is letting jorginho run the plays while Jones and gravenberch got nowhere near him. tactically that was terrible from us.

He’s hopeless. The guy can’t run, he can’t finish and he doesn’t link up play like Firmino used to.

Martinelli and Saka were also both **** yesterday (just lees **** than our forwards). Sakas form this season been awful, shooting gone miles off and didn’t see him beat a CB playing LB once all game. He’s also super annoying by going down injured 3 times a game despite being nothing wrong with him. But he’s English so never gets mentioned.

Martinelli again, got past Trent couple of times but zero end product. His form this season has been really poor from what I’ve seen.

Both really good players but with those 2 out of form and no proper CF that’s what’s really hurting you in those games where have dropped points.

Not sure what Trossard has to do to start as looked most dangerous front player you have this season.

We still talking about this? Arsenal were average imo but still miles better than us.

Klopp got his tactics wrong from the off. Arteta got his right. Obviously, that means that arsenals tactics impacted ours…..and we were poorer because of them but that doesn’t excuse piss poor defending and simply not tracking back. We were plain awful and did not/could not adjust at all.

anyway, onwards and, hopefully, upwards <yikes>

Of all the quality chelsea rejects out there to pick from, arsenal managed to get havertz and Jorginho

Yep, we were ****e, but at half time I thought we were going to do another undeserved win like in the FA Cup there last month, and in fairness, they didn't look like scoring again till the Virgil/Ally thing. We didn't deserve it though, and Arse did. All that said, I thought Taylor was utterly hapless again. havertz spent the whole game just jumping into our centre-backs (dangerously on one occasion against Virgil) with no intention of playing the ball, and booked Nunez for being angry about being blatantly fouled by Gabriel, when the Arsenal man went completely unpunished.

But worryingly, we were utter ****e, and without creating a scapegoat - why would we EVER play Gravenberch over Elliott, especially with no Szobbo on the pitch? The midfield had no energy whatsoever in the first half, and Gravenberch is beginning to resemble Pogba in my opinion, but without the occasional rocket shot to balance out the overall mediocrity. And if we're going to play Macca and Jones and no DM I think we should go 4-2-3-1 and sacrifice one of the front three.

Oh, and one last thing - our only outball was to.... Gakpo. And we kept Darwin on the ****ing bench. :emoticon-0114-dull:

Jorghino played a blinder yesterday. Kept your midfield quiet.

Both of those Chelsea rejects helped us to beat your lot too :)

Ngog scored a goal v United once, doesnt mean he’s a good player.

Werent you miles clear when you signed Jorginho and he helped you bottle the league last year? When they help you win something more than 3 points you can come back and gloat <whistle>

I wouldn't read too much into one loss.

We got three points out of Arsenal/Chelsea with our star striker out.

It's not ideal, but if you have to lose a game. Away at Arsenal is one of the more forgivable places to lose.

We really can't afford to lose many more now. City will drop points, but not likely to drop a lot of points.

Whoever said Saka's been awful this season needs to watch more of our games. He has 11 goals and 13 assists in 29 games so far and is well on course to better his G+A from the last campaign. Considering the trouble we've had in attack throughout the season, he is consistently delivering for us when we need him to. If this is him being 'awful', then man, I can't wait until he's back in form again <ok>
