Yeah his touch and control were terrible, looked like he won a raffle to play!

There was a moment around the box where I think Jobe layer it off and looked for it back or him to do something and he didn't react until it was just about away from him and then his touch just made sure it was away!

In comparison when Rusyn came on he hassled from the first second. Ayling was caught off guard as he suddenly had a player breathing down his neck!

TBF he's put the players on the spot which should have an effect. Personally I think there's only a matter of confidence holding us back, not surprising as they've had three different managers throwing tactics and instructions at a bunch of young lads. They latest manager has been so abused, by our own fans, that it's the first thing mentioned when we're live on TV. I've no idea how that rubs off on the players.

It's a time when we should all just stick together and support our club ...

... not pile in when we have our backs to the wall, in a period of a game, and concede an unjust goal which was a bit of a fluke.

I thought the players more at fault than the tactics and substitutions yesterday but it's been a difficult couple of months.

Yes Boro came out with a different set up and attitude, straight after half time, but I don't get the criticism that Beale should've brought on subs straight away. How often does any manager do that?

How would pulling Ba, Ekwah, Jobe affect their confidence?

The whole team has to do what any team does and react to changes in tactics in real time. It can't always be the manager's fault and bringing on subs can often further disrupt things making the situation worse.

In my opinion we coped well when Boro pushed, which they had to do, and dug in ...

... sometimes that happens and you have to tough it out.

Personally I thought the lads did incredibly well to come back from going behind in a derby.

Not being funny, but I have seen that photo once or twice, and wonder if its authentic, not up on technology but the three figures in focus look odd, like its a photoshop or something, as I say I could be wrong.
On a different topic I dont think Colback ever let us down ever when he here , the club never appreciated how good he actually was and as we dithered he got an offer he couldn't refuse, silly money really, more to do with local politics than football, and as for being a "Mag" he was detested even more so up the road , but he has proven to be a useful player in a long career.

And Roberts, totally ineffective again, at least he is consistent, yet we have people clamouring for his return, and others saying O/9 is not worth a chance to play in our problem position, he showed yesterday how dynamic he can be with the best run of the match bar Clarkes cameos at the end which saved our skins, as someone else has suggested Seelt and Ballard with O/9 playing just in front of them would be worth a shot now, it could even prove bullet proof.

Not saying there’s an issue, just he’s a complete twat on the field! One of those players you hate playing against you, but love when they play for you!! (O’Nien is the same!!

It’s a portrait lens on a camera. It focuses on those at the front only to make them pop. The larger ones are great. I used to do some seminar photography in my younger life. You’d have a wedding party with the bride, groom and bridesmaids etc all in focus and the background slightly blurred. Great photography style

I agree with your points but too often we start games or halves too slowly - and yesterday, the second half problem wasn't just the start. I'm not sure what the problem is - youth/inexperience or fear about conceding but we just seem to go into hibernation mode. Maybe the players need a tot of something or a slap (like a boxer at the start of a round) before going out to get them going!
Whatever the problem is, I do think that instructions from the touchline or senior players should be helping more.

Agreed. The questioning for Clarke was a joke. Talking about “are you happy to stay”! Disgraceful

Just settling down now after a hectic day yesterday. Was pleasantly surprised at our performance for the most part. Was disappointed leaving the ground with only a point. The escort back into town was hideous. We were parked near the Uni. Some police were allowing fans to leave the escort but some weren’t. It was comical. Cracking day out though and a hangover today. Roll on the 2 away trips next week.

Watched the match last night as problem stopped me watching it at 12.
Thought first half was even Stephens, 1-1 was about right.
Yes Boro got at us 2nd half but created nowt, lucky goal which woke us up and we could've/ should've won it in the last 10 minutes.
Don't get all the negativity when we concede with half an hour left to turn things round which we nearly did but imo would have been harsh on them.
Surely that Burstows last chance? Rusny was all a CF should be and he had a great last 20 minutes.
Sky commentary and punditry is awful so hope we're not featured for a while.
Good point away from home liked the look of our new full back and 09 mom for me.

Id go as far as to say Burstow is up there with the worst strikers ive ever seen play for us. How he managed to come through Chelseas youth system is a complete mystery to me.

Can only assume he's playing with no confidence and/or the move was too big for him and he's overwhelmed by it. If what we're seeing is him at his best I can't see how he could have had a successful career so far.

In my experience when this happens with a striker there's no point trying to fix it just bench them and move them on at the first opportunity.
