Total list of Championship transfers to date: https://www.google.com/amp/s/therealefl.co.uk/2024/01/24/championship-transfers-january-2024/amp/
Jaden Warner and Adeboyega are not on that list which I assume is because they are not first team players.
According to a Pink'Un columnist, Gabby Sara has more assists so far this season than Emi Buendia had at this stage in either of his Championship campaigns for the club. Gabby needs eight more to overtake Buendia’s record of 16
Ben Knapper on his work with Wagner: "From day one, when I walked in the door, what struck me was the rapport between the playing and coaching staff, the level of work that was going on and the proactive approach to try and find solutions. There was a willingness to face up to some of the realities of where we were struggling. Around that, there were always conversations, but it was always clear to me that everyone was trying to find solutions, and we certainly don't feel that we're home and dry, but from where we were, there's a lot of good work that has been done. It's a testament to those conversations and the actions off the back of them." https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwich-city/24103345.ben-knapper-keeping-faith-city-boss-david-wagner/

Knapper seems like an interesting and thoughtful guy. Less comfortable in front of the camera than SW but a bit more political in his answers. He came across well, there wasn't a huge amount of big picture stuff but I doubt we will receive the insight that we had early in the SW days again. He confirmed again that a pathway through the youth to the first team is the model that they want to get back to with heavy emphasis on player progression and player trading. The aim is to lower the age profile of the team Also confirms that conversations with Aboh's management are on-going but no resolution yet.
I'm led to believe that Aboh and Alex Matos are great buddies so, with the latter moving to Chelsea in the summer and now featuring on loan at Huddersfield (4 starts in the Championship, 1 in the FA Cup), I would guess Aboh's representatives have a similar progression in mind for him. The prospects for him breaking into our first team squad in the summer don't look great at the moment. That may change when the transfer season opens, but I suspect minds will have been made up well before then.
I've had a chance to watch the whole interview now and I agree about his genuine approach. Webber was in the job a few months before Farke arrived and he waited until then to set out the master plan. Maybe we'll have more of that once the season finishes and Knapper has his feet well and truly under the table and a recruitment plan worked out.
No surprise that BK chose to break his media silence at this point, i.e. the point at which season ticket holders are invited to renew. Coupled with the arrival of SVH, and departure of Forshaw and Placheta, by further emphasising the commitment to youth, and promising a more pro-active approach on the field, I'd say Knapper has done as much as he reasonably could to help persuade any waverers.
Here's FLW's analytical comparison between Sainz and Buendia, which is perhaps even more apt, but at a much earlier stage. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/norwich-city-have-a-potential-emi-buendia/
Rotherham are currently doing us a favour at half time. I want all second halves to be 0-0. If the results stayed the same it would be a good evening for us
We've recently heard from Ben Knapper. Did The Guardian pick up something we missed? https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-2-carlos-cuesta-norwich-manager-championship Bit young at 28 I'd say. [Edit] See also
Norwich City Football Club has announced safe standing will be implemented at its home ground for next season. The Lower Barclay, Thorpe Corner and a section of Carrow Road's away supporter area will be revamped over summer. Safe standing areas provide a space for supporters to stand up for the duration of a match. The club's executive director, Zoe Webber, said the decision came after "very engaging" consultation with fans.
Looks like 2+2=5 logic. No substance to the claim, just tenuous links by association: "It is understood that Norwich, whose sporting director, Ben Knapper, was the loans manager at Arsenal before moving to Carrow Road in November, are interested in offering Cuesta the manager’s post at the end of the season after a mixed campaign so far under David Wagner." "It is understood..." is the usual indicator of a complete stab in the dark to fill some column space before a deadline. Ridiculous.
If Wagner pulls off a miracle & takes us up it would be pretty stupid to fire him we're not Watford https://metro.co.uk/2024/02/15/carl...-assistant-arsenal-20286577/?ito=newsnow-feed Carlos Cuesta’s stance as Norwich prepare to steal Mikel Arteta’s assistant from Arsenal
