For a young guy with a risky ACL tweak Jaden shows so much heart , strength and willingness to tackle and use his body - he’s got a bit if devil to keep or win a ball . How many players would make a strong block early in the match like he dod on return ?

Over the past couple of months Lewie has taken more blows to the face than Tommy ever had to....Always the first to walk around the pitch at the final whistle. Jumped over the barrier yesterday to give his shirt to a kiddie in the south stand....Top man.

Thought it was his MCL not ACL?

I think it was his medial ligament, and from what I understand, a side-footed block tackle like that big one he made is exactly the thing that tests your medial ligament, because of the direction of the force.

Indeed it does put the MCL at risk, that's exactly how I buggered mine up a few (many) years ago. The other bloke's foot blocked the ball a nano-second before mine so he had the momentum. Painful.

When he got clattered yesterday @askewshair hadn't initially realised it was him and said something along the lines of ‘bloody hell…oh…ah, it’s Coyle…he’ll be fine, he’ll just get straight back up’

Really important part of the club *

*I was referring to Coyle. Of course Askew is important to the club too…although mainly for bar takings!

Can't argue with that, although I'd definitely put Tufan up there as well

I think with Tufan we saw it in bits last season. His consistency has improved, but he still has games where he goes missing a bit.

Great news update - Forwarded for info; copied from a lady on FB. Not my son!

“Hi, wasnt sure where was best to post this, it was my son Kian who collapsed yesterday outside of the stadium, me and Kians dad would like to thank everyone who helped him especially the couple who was on the floor with him and who put him in the recovery position etc. He is back home and recovering now but he is OK. Thank you so much ⚽️”

    That’s good to hear Tigress.

I’m sure you will have, but please pass on people’s regards to him via his Mum (assuming you can through FB)

He does talk a very good game, but two shots on target, to me, doesn't sound like a team with ambition to score goals, I was bored stiff second half, yes we won, but it’s so pedestrian, it’s like walking football at times, we scored did ok for 15 minutes then just plodded through the rest of the game.
