At times versus Southampton we really did attack with pace and quick passing/movement and they could not live with us when we did that
Yet VI claimed after Livermore's double at QPR that his instruction was to shoot from range more often!! And I don't think that the opposition have to get back quickly - if they've done their homework they know that we are worse than useless when it comes to playing the ball out from the back. That gives them two options - stroll back and win the ball back after a hopeful punt by our defence, or press and win the ball back when our defence panics. I really can't for the life of me understand why VI persists with the tactic - at the very least he should be mixing things up a bit, if only to make the opposition think more than they currently have to.
I think Rajovic is better than Bayo at that - also better at laying the ball off. May be better playing Bayo as a wing-back as he is quite pacey, and have Martins paired with Rajovic?
Has he ever played there before? Which side... Dennis central with Asprilla and Martins/Sema out wide and giving them the ball telling them to run with it and not cut in so much.
