For those who actually worked in the Public Sector in your generation they feel the same way.

All these greedy public sector workers what a joke i got paid **** all working for the local council here and was even made redundant then the town went on to win an award for work i done do you think my blue peter badge is in the post? is it **** some fat **** that couldn't even tell you half the **** we done accepted the award. The only cuts in the public sector are the employees in the low end of the pay scale, middle and higher management remains untouched surprise surprise.

Absolutely. There are plenty of private sector workers who are feeling the pinch, but equally there are still plenty of private sector workers getting paid a reasonable wage and a bonus on top of that. Not sure how many 'coal face' public sector workers get bonuses.

Some of us will be working.

Sorry but I have **** all sympathy for a bunch of idiots who are too stupid to realise that there is a recession going on and who appear to think that they should be exempt from the same cuts everyone else has had to take.

The lower end of private and public sector line is getting increasingly blurred

A lot of workers in the public sector these days are actually private sector

Look to councils for example and the people who have the cleaning contracts or the millions wasted on consultants

most major infrastructure projects that have taken place around stok ein th elast few years has had the councils name on paper but private sector workers

The Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder project for example was delivered by private house buliders

Don't get me wrong. In this environment no one should get a bonus or a pay rise. There's a global recession. That's just how it is FACT.

Won't be that when your local area turns into a dumping ground, you'll be saying the local council should do something about it.

The strike is for one day so that is hardly likely to happen.

The strike isn't the point the strike is action against the redundancies, forced pension changes and pay reductions, why should all those who do the **** jobs need to take cuts when council leaders and big wigs continue to get bonuses and good pay?
