Jacob "if there's a wrong pass to pick, I'll pick it" Murphy and Miguel "what do you mean, RIGHT foot?" Almiron are laughably bad. Nice lads, big smiles, work hard, both utter **** attacking footballers.
Any manager that waited that long to resolve a problem you me and anyone watching that game to could see after 2 minutes needs replacing. It was absolutely bizarre.
If we're really being fair, we've got to throw Bruno into that. He was terrible. Slow as **** and so easy to play against.
I'm blaming the manager because we all knew the issue and he did nothing until it was 4-2. The manager does this every week and he will never succeed because he will continue this way.
100%. It's like he can't because subs aren't allowed before the 60th minute. What did he think would happen? Luton would suddenly forget to target Burn? Burn would suddenly develop pace? The guy's a bang average one dimensional coach. Our only decent results the past 4 months have been down to the opposition being crap.
Yes of course but Schar was **** as was Bruno (like Roly has just mentioned). We can all single out Burn and Murphy but for some reason people lick Schar hoop yet time and time again his actual job of defending is woeful
If this was under Bruce they'd be blaming the manager which is why I am. We can all see the issue and we are just some blokes in the street. Having played at a poor level like alot of you I'm sure favoritism is rife and that's what we're got here as much as anything else. This side loses easily... it's failing over and over in all areas.
Yes, but as I’ve said everyone is quick to jump on burn, Murphy and Almiron but of course we can’t criticise Bruno or Schar
The only 2 players I’d give half a decent rating to in that game (starters) was Miley & Gordon. What today shown me was we aren’t feared by anyone, Luton didn’t fear us, Forest didn’t. We don’t have the fear factor at home. There was a phase in the first half where Luton were spraying it around and we couldn’t get near. I mean against Man City etc fair enough, but at home to Luton? I do think this will have concerned the owners, whether they admit it or not.
Again I just go back to the fact the manager believed his and his players own hype in finishing 4th. I think the media often come for fans saying we over-achieved, we should be grateful, etc., but the actual point is the vulnerabiliies of Burn, Schar, Almiron, Murphy, etc., etc. were well known from even Bruce's time (Burn aside) and we did nothing, absolutely nothing, to address them. We went for Tonali when CM wasn't the issue, we went for Hall when he wasn't ready, we went for Tino then don't play him and Barnes when we'd just bought Gordon. Haven't dragged this broken record out for a while, but Howe and the leadership team ****ed up so badly in the Summer that we're getting what we deserve. Add in Howe's misplaced loyalty, woeful game management and favouritism and it's not a good look. If there are changes in leadership at this club - Ashworth heading to Man U, for example - then I think a LOT of change will follow.
Nobody played well maybe miley 1st half... the side is dysfunctional and this manager is the worst in game manager I've see at this club. It's great if it works, but if it doesn't he's too arrogant or too daft to change it.. or both. We all saw the main problem and he's paid millions to see it and address it.
Howe rates character too highly I feel.. ok it's important, but it's not as important as being a good player.
This is the thing for me. I’ve been saying for a long time Howe has taken us as far as he can. He’s done well. But if our owners want to win things we can’t just be sentimental. This Howe has credit bullshit needs to stop aswell. We have lost as many as we have won this season. The injuries are an excuse always have been.
