Short and not so sweet ! Short and not so sweet! After the outburst was always on the edge. Deeney probably got a few sacked himself if they upset the players here like he did too. Still had time to get a touch line ban
I find it all so strange. If you get a player who has never been a manager before, he will make mistakes, and I don't think it's helpful to give him the push at the first opportunity.
I find it strange too, but probably for a different reason. There's a whole swathe of failed managers out there who constantly get recycled - and everyone of them probably follows the same ideas on what is and isn't acceptable when it comes to man management with sulky players. Troy is his own man, anyone who has followed football over the last decade would know that - and I just think that he should be given the leeway to change their attitudes in a way that he sees fit. If it works, others will follow suit - if it doesn't, he would accept that and try another approach. I equate it to teaching. There are 101 different 'official' strategies for dealing with problem pupils, but very few of them work - and those that do require too much time and effort, to the detriment of other pupils' learning.
I agree. There were loads of commentators saying what Troy did was wrong, but we have no idea what conversations were already had behind the scenes that hadn't worked.
Sarr playing a key role for Senegal today . Goal and assist . https://www.flashscore.com/match/riWbQpn8/#/match-summary/match-summary
I think the issue was he targeted one or two players publicly ( although did apologise ) particularly but then that is only what fans and the media do. No doubt had Troy said it as a pundit everyone would have concurred. Afterall people like it when Roy Keane has a good old rant . Still gives some of our fans the chance to have a dig at Troy as they seem to do now he isn’t scoring goals for us .
Not been at Huddersfield more than 2 weeks and Rhys Healey will have a new manager . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68119678

William Troost-Ekong puts Nigeria ahead from the penalty spot in their semi-final against South Africa.
Late VAR drama too in the same game. Nigeria scored, on the break. VAR then called a pen in the build up to the break to South Africa. They scored the pen. 1.1 Right decision.
