Beef rendang last night, with Indonesian veggies (chillies, beans, bean sprouts and tahu (tofu), bagwan jagung (corn fritters but spicy) and rice. Rendang is a dry curry - lumps of beef boiled over a long time so that the coconut sauce dries out leaving that fluffy dry cocunut paste on the meat. Very spicy but a bit sweet as well.
I will let the maid know. She says your stuff always looks good but she is glad she doesn’t work with Sucky.
Forgot to get a pic before I started but just had this. Was good. Just mountains of potato with a fry-up and a bit of cheese.
There are mainly great runner beans, with bean sprouts and the small hot chillies and then tofu that has been fried.
So when looking at the rendang recipe it proved difficult to get some ingredients and I've gone too long without a coffee grinder for spices. Shelved it for now with a view to getting a coffee grinder and getting some of the ingredients online. Made a butter style chicken dish instead and took inspiration from the meal @JakartaToon made and came up with the above.
