The sloppiness has just caught up with us and we are down 0-1. This could end up like a cricket score if Liam can't find a way to wake this lot up to smell how to play football. About as bad an overall performance as I have seen but come to think of it most of our matches have been like this and in most we have flattered to deceive. The improvements in our play that we have talked about since Liam arrived are quickly fading because this performance tells me we are light years behind clubs like Leeds, and many others.
The commentators are having a field day with our poor passing coming out of defence and have called it "shocking", "appalling" and "unbelievable" which sums us up in nutshell. Max has done his usual number followed by Dickie and Tanner. Wells is off (not looking happy) only to be subbed by Mehmeti and I can't see us getting any better.
Our first real chance comes to Mehmeti but no luck with a poor shot that doesn't come close to beating the keeper.

That's the part of his game that I just can't get my head around because he has made some world class saves that have kept us in games and then throws in a howler that negates all of the good attributes he has and perhaps with some decent coaching form someone with vast experience he could make the cut. Whereas we tend to look at single players like Max there are way too many culprits out there who need to hide their collective heads in shame. A goalie is generally only as good at what lies in front of him and therein lies our biggest problem.
Conway just had 2 chances to cross from outside of the penalty area and decided he had to make 2 Messi like turns and lost us the chance of threatening. Bad decisions result in bad outcomes. Learn please.
Men against boys we got a long way to go to get to Leeds standards. Far quicker-attacks are far better.

We have been pi$$ poor tonight, yet Leeds haven’t blown us away. If they do go back up, they will struggle on this showing, for sure.
We were too slow all over the pitch, they passed crisply and accurately and pressed high, we hardly laid a glove on them.
This games only goes to show how badly we approach playing against the top teams in the Championship because in reality we were never in with a chance unless we got real lucky. The free flowing football we have seen in several games since Liam's arrival has been sussed out by wiser and more ambitious clubs and tonight we saw how weak we really are across the whole pitch because I can't remember any player on the pitch tonight who can truly say I earned my money. There are clubs that know how to adapt their style of play to meet certain situations and all we do is play the same way expecting it to fool the opposition and that rarely works especially against better teams. The league points won under Liam is starting to look a little sad and the style of play, assuming it was by way of his tuition, has not worked even though it did look good at times but rarely gave us the victories we expected. Player personnel is not up to snuff and it looks like it is no longer a few here and there and tonight's bench posed no threat at all and that doesn't bode well if you really want to compete. Reading the same old stuff on here year in and year out is tiresome and mind numbing in the extreme and I would suspect that the prawn sandwich bunch couldn't give a rat's arse.
