Theres no way either of us are spending that sort of money on project signings, we are both at the bottom end of that market and looking to spend 2/3m and hopefully find a gem.

Players coming here for such high fees don’t get the time to settle and develop, if you come here for 5m+ then fans are already expecting something big from you, to come in and hit the ground running and if you don’t then you’re a failure, thats just the way it is. You have these pie in the sky ideas of Celtic signing top rated 19 year olds for 5-6m and selling them for £50m, this isn’t Fifa or football manager

Like i mentioned though, these top prospects don’t get the time to develop here, they are thrown in at the deep end and expected to go out and be the difference that wins us leagues or cups.

Well with Haaland its pure hindsight, of course its easy to say now that the best striker in the world at this moment would’ve came to Scotland as a 19 year old and run riot, but we have no way of knowing that. Even at that, Celtic or Rangers would never have paid £7m for a 19 year old from Norwegian football, this is what I'm saying.

Abada and O’Riley are 2 of your more recent successes in the prospect signings, for 1 success you have about 3 failures. Holm, Oh, Yang, Tilio, Bernabei, Haksabanovic all bought at similar prices at the bottom end of that market, and you’re encouraging them to move up into a better market and start spending 5-10m? They don’t even have a good track record in this market yet.
