I would think that Ipswich would be 'keen' to get rid of him...... How can anybody be keen to sign that sack of sh*te?
What are you talking about! £1.9 Million for the 1 goal he scored against Arsenal = Great value for money!
yes that sack of sh*te who scored 15 goals in 68 games for us and was 15th top scorer in the Championship and got goals against Spurs and Chelsea in Cup competitions and who we sold on for a great profit at £1.7m NOT to be confused with Ellington
It seems he can score for everyone other than us. A similar story with Scotland and to a degree Chopra. May I suggest that its us, or our style of play that is the problem with the way these strikers play rather than just a bad player.
I tell you what Norway Hornet, straight swap you have Tamas Misskin and we have Sordell. Sounds a decent bit of business to me!
sure, 4million for Marv (thats what some rumours are saying!) and we will take TP back for a tenner! that`d pay the next installment back of the bonds to Lord Ashcroft!
Alright then, Tamas + a book on how not to be offside 10 times in a game! Can't say fairer than that.
15 goals in 68 is no great shakes - an average of 10 goals in a season if he played every game - hardly stirring stuff for a front-line striker. The goals against Spurs & Chelsea were of no real relevance - we lost both games after all. Apart from a few weeks spell under Rodgers, he has consistently flattered to deceive - the number of clubs at which he's played and done nothing for week after week tells its own story. So we did good business in selling him, I'll admit that but a sack of sh*te is a sack of sh*te whether we got £1.7M or £17 for him. As for Ellington, he never flattered, he never deceived - he was just plain awful.
Nah, the book would be a waste of time - he does already know how not to be offside, but just can't be arsed!
As far as Marv is concerned , http://www.wfcforums.com/showthread.php?40428-Marvellous-Marvin-off-to-Spurs
But remember Priskin was third choice for most of his time with us with King and Henderson the main "team" so he got disjointed spells in the team. Also he was totally unsuited to hoofball which was Aidy's tactic so 15 in 68 was pretty decent overall - the stats under Rodgers were truly impressive - the only manager to realise that if you give a quality player a quality ball he will do well. Priskin though was lazy and thought he was better than he was so often did not "turn up" - but overall he did well for us - unlike Ellington
