    1. Support

    Newcaslte may have higher attendancess, but more people live in Newcastle. Sunderland have a higher % of people going to games, therefore have better support.

    2. Better Team

    Although Newcastle are higher up the table, it will not last. Its just a mix of good luck and form. Not many Newcastle players could get into the Sunderland team

    3. History

    Sunderland have won more league titles

    4.Better manager

    What has Pardew done? Got relegated with West Ham and been sacked fom Southampton. At least Bruce is actually a Premier Leauge Manager

    5. Better stadium
    The Sports Direct Arena is just abit old and dirty. Could do with a huge renovation. The SOL is only a tiny bit smaller.


    Reasons Newcastle are the bigger team

    1. Europe
    Newcastle have recently played in it

    and thats it

    So Sunderland are clearly the north easts top dogs
