What some are missing concerning the signing of Isaacs is that we need players that can pass the ball forward, under pressure, in order to break the press.
We could have Maddison at 10, but if we can't find him he's ineffectual.

I actually think Isaacs may surprise people.
Maybe young Hodge will be able to link play better.
Lucas Andersen, attacking midfielder, is now a free agent so can be signed any time. Wiki already has him with us, but the same article reckons he hasn’t played since 2018 ( he’s played 14 times for AaB and scored 2 goals this season). I get the impression he’s been released from his contract because there is an ‘opportunity’ for him and he has been a good servant for the club - he’s captain - rather than him being another troublemaker like Cannon and Frey. 29 years old. Looks like a quality player who has never quite fulfilled his potential, was with Ajax for a bit.
