Can't see it myself, Eze was always gonna go for a decent fee and is in a different league to Willock. With his injury record, and tendency to lose interest, who in their right mind would pay a decent fee for him ?

If we stay up I can see him signing a new offer in the summer when no offers appear.

Ffs he's absolute garbage, surely Field and Colback are sufficient in this area. We needed attacking midfielders who can score and create !

Apparently, Anderson and Joe Hodge a midfielder from Wolves are at the training ground and close to signing.

Anderson? Is that Ian Anderson the flute playing one legged singer from that Jethro Tull? Neat.

when asked if he was any good at newcastle
    the forum responded
    videos are five years old

    Nope!

He had his moments, will do a good job for you.

There was a time when he played well for us in the Premiership that most fans seem to forget. He is a very limited player but if he's given a central holding role where his job is to harry the opposition and then pass the ball to others he was decent (he also chipped in with a few goals at times but they are very much a bonus) and he always gave hiss all. Imagine Nicky Butt but with a tenth the ability and you're in the right ballpark. In fairness he played for us a lot in the season we got promoted from the Championship and at that time I'd have said he was good enough for any team looking to gain promotion. We've not seen him play for two years though.

Personally love the guy, very good Championship/bottom half EPL CDM - solid, dependable and loves to get stuck in to a tackle!
Edit: shame the link doesn't work for some reason but if you google "Isaac Hayden tackles" there's a good video of him making tackles left right and center!

He was crap along with lascelles needed removing and the day the they w.ere we instantly improved

I don’t know why Eze signed a new contract. It really doesn’t make much sense from the player perspective if they think a club(s) they want to play for are interested in them. Running down their contract makes them cheaper to buy (and ultimately free) and that gives them greater leverage on negotiating higher pay. The only reasons to sign a new contract with us would be for a shedload more cash every week or if they don’t believe there will be any interest from any decent clubs and they are scared of unemployment.
