Even if we get Turnbull as far as I’m concerned this window has been a shambles. A lack of transparency to the fans about what the club were looking for and what funding was available, the effect of FFP and leaving it so late to get in on paper what appear to be uninspired signings; ok they possibly may be better marginally than what remains of the squad after a few have been shipped out but still it’s been a real let down after 3 successive windows living on freebies, cast offs and 3rd rate loans. And then we come to what we were to led to believe was our nailed on marquee signing. That went well didn’t it as our publicly stated no1 target went elsewhere but who can blame him really?
