Bit disappointed the Barry Bannan rumour doesn’t seem to be coming to anything. He would have been the perfect cherry to finish everything off.
Top 6 odds crumbled though. Bookies have 5 teams fighting for the last two places. Poor odds from what I can see.
Delap got injured playing for us, what makes you think we can just cancel the loan and Man City will be happy to pay his wages for the rest of the season. He may well still play again too, who knows.
Come to the conclusion that young inexperienced managers who appear to have the skills plans and ideas are maybe what the young guys want and can relate to . I don’t know of many young uns under about 30 who want or will take notice of somebody in their sixties unless the guy has succeeded recently or is very special . There were a few on here pouring scorn on LR’s ability to attract decent players wasn’t there ? I honestly think that Tans acumen and manner , Acun’s sales pitch of family etc and Liams enthusiasm and footballing ideas appeal to these people . Don’t think Bruce could have done better this year ( footnote it is not a given they will all turn out to be what we hope - but that’s football)
Yup. Barring a collapse Leicester are already up. It’s that second spot that’s interesting. Saints,Ipswich and Leeds are all very good sides especially over two legs and Coventry have found some good form. Those last two play off places look doable for another half a dozen clubs including City. Exciting times again.
I wonder if the final surprise will be like Leeds that year… we’ll all wait up til midnight to find out Ryan Woo has gone on loan to Doncaster or something.
