Rangers were restricted to only signing free agents in the summer under Gareth Ainsworth due to concerns around the Championship’s profit and sustainability rules.

However, the 41-year-old hinted at the need for business to be done, with a number of injury issues to key players hampering their survival chances.

Speaking to London News Online, Cifuentes said: “It definitely will be busy in the sense that we will try our best to be creative, [while] understanding the situation where we are that makes us very limited in the options we can afford.

“We need to be aware as a football team that if we can improve we need to try our best. I am aware about the financial situation and the restrictions so it is not only up to us.

“I am sure that the whole club understands we are in a moment where we need to try our best, whatever the solution or possibilities, to see if we can improve as a football team.”

So he has done that...been creative.

Got rid of a high earner off the salary list...and got some of the salary of 2 others out too.
Brought in an experienced player, who will not be very cheap salary wise.

Only way we would get in an experienced goalscorer....with the sword of Damocles so close to our head

Surely they tried to buy a chair and wouldn’t be arrogant enough to think Ilias Chair would go there.

I think the key word is rejected.

    A few rumours about -

Interested in Malcolm Ebiowei from Palace, Coventry also interested.

Danish winger Lucas Andersen is apparently in London, worked with Marti previously. Reports out of Denmark suggest he could be coming our way.

I didn't think he was that good, not that I've seen much of him. I think we were in for him 7 odd years ago but he opted for Hull.

We're not interested in the Palace lad apparently. Can't realistically see anyone else coming in, shame as an attacking midfielder would've helped alot. Also looks like Willock isn't going anywhere, so he'll be leaving in the summer for **** all !

Unless he does the decent ...and signs a new contract ( with the nod we gave Eze, that we would sell when a decent offer came in)
