Sheffield Wednesday play host to Watford on Wednesday evening looking to move closer to getting out of the Championship relegation zone.

At a time when the Owls sit in 23rd position in the table, Watford are 10th but within touching distance of moving into the playoff spots.

With seven wins from 19 matches in charge of Sheffield Wednesday, it is fair to say that the jury is still out on Danny Rohl with the club some way adrift of safety.

Although six points have been collected from their last four fixtures in the Championship, Wednesday have not been helped by the teams above them keeping their respective tallies ticking over.

Just two defeats have been posted in 13 matches in all competitions, Watford currently on a six-game undefeated streak, albeit with four draws.

Both of their victories came by 2-1 scorelines against Chesterfield and Queens Park Rangers, performances that were hardly convincing, but Ismael will be satisfied with the response.

In the reverse fixture between these sides in October, Watford ran out 1-0 winners courtesy of a late goal from Yaser Asprilla.

Mark Stevens and Robert Hyde are due to be the assistant referees, with Rebecca Welch on fourth official duties.

I see we have a lady as a fourth official. I wonder if ear muffs are a part of the official kit in this situation?

Me too. Hotel booked (moved to the Rotherham game) and everything! Had a bad dose of the lurgy last week so I'd have never managed the drive on Friday. Just as well the Southaampton game was on the Sunday, just about over it, or at least the worst, by then.

A win tonight, and we will be just one point off the top six. I am not counting my chickens though, as Wednesday will be desperate to earn some points to help in their relegation fight.

A lot of good comments about Pollock on Sunday, and he has been rewarded.

I wonder if Dennis has trained hard enough to run a bit more than he did against Southampton...

He said he felt tired after five minutes, so perhaps he will manage ten tonight.

The pitch looks a bit short on grass.
