But when TAA and Gomez played together Gomez was staying wide and overlapping so not sure it’s an issue. He was obviously told to come inside more as Bradley prefers going outside but wil revert to normal if TAA is at rb

CHRIS SUTTON'S PREDICTION. Liverpool v Chelsea (20:15) I am at Anfield for 5 Live for this one and it is a massive game for Liverpool. This is a dress rehearsal for the Carabao Cup final and it is a dangerous game for Liverpool after Klopp's announcement that he is leaving at the end of the season. Chelsea have won their past three Premier League games, so they are slowly getting there and finding some consistency. There have been some great games between these two teams down the years and I am not totally sure who will come out on top in this one. Given Chelsea's position in the table, they don't have as much riding on this and, if you ask their fans, they would probably rather win the cup final than this game. You still don't know what you are going to get from Pochettino's team, good or bad, and if it clicks they can cause Liverpool a few problems - but I am still going to go with a Liverpool win, although it will be very close. Sutton's prediction: 2-1 Vaughn's prediction: This is two days before Argylle opens. I worked with Gary Barlow on one of the songs in the film - he is a Liverpool fan and he and I have had a lot of fun over the past 10 years, depending on whose team is up or down. They are doing better than us right now but we have had our moments at Anfield and I just can't go against Chelsea here, although my first thought is that it will be a draw. 1-2 JONES KNOWS' BEST HAS GONE FOR HOME WIN TOO. Liverpool vs Chelsea, Wednesday 8.15pm - PLAY SUPER 6! This is the path Curtis Jones is currently on. Jones' name is now one of the first down on Klopp's teamsheet as he has become the midfielder the manager desires in the heart of his engine room. These all-action performances are proving to be the glue that knits the side together and are leading to a huge spike in his attacking output since returning from injury in December, especially at Anfield. In his last five starts in home matches, Jones has had 19 shots, 10 of them on target, and scored five goals. Take your pick on the Evens available for him to have two or more shots, the 3/1 on three or more shots and the 9/2 anytime as potential angles in as Liverpool are set to motor on. I think we need the lot if we’re going to do it tbh, win tonight and beat Arsenal and we as good as eliminate them from the race and win the hardest fixture left this side of the year
If man city drop a single point between now and out game at anfield i'll be surprised Burnley H Brentford A Everton H Chelsea H Brentford A Bournemouth A Utd H that would put them on a run of 10 wins in a row which is exactly what people have being saying that city do year after year. Can anyone seriously see city drop a point in those fixtures? I'd go so far as to say Brentford away is harder than man utd at home for them. Our fixtures are not that bad. Cheslea H (must win) Arsenal (a) any result is good in reality Burnely H Brentford A luton H PP Forest (a) We have won 3 since drawing with arsenal at home. If we are unbeaten then we are unbeaten since that disgraceful reffing at spurs away. Theres too many draws for us in the top half, like utd at anfield, arsenal at anfield,, birghton etc. this is the reality of matching up to city. we might beat them at anfield, we might not but the other sides will just fold time and again.
I'd agree it's unlikely but they're really not just blowing teams out the water and scoring within 5 minutes like they usually do - if we just keep doing our job you never know, the gap might widen. Dropping points tonight would be terrible.
Yes it might happen but its highly unlikely as if they have 70% possession they'll flop for a pen, they'll force a goal somewhere. I would agree it'd be a problem to drop points tonight as its a home game but its a tough home game for us. MY ideal is obviously win both these games and go into the big game with city still being ahead. but lets see, if we were level on point on that day i'd take it 100%. fingers crossed we have a bit too much for chelsea.
TBF, you could list a full season's 38 game fixture list and not anticipate Man City dropping a point but they do
Why not? They've dropped 17 already, did anyone accurately predict those? Looking at fixtures and trying to predict how many points someone will gain is nothing more than a rainy day exercise. If football didn't frequently defy our expectations there'd be no point in watching it.
