After looking quite good we fail the test by not being able to take advantage of our chances. Those missed opportunities came back to haunt us when Coventry score a breakaway goal to lead 1-0. If we do not address our lousy forward situation then I fear we could head backwards and due the soon to end transfer window it doesn't seem like we have solved the obvious problem.

You can see what happens when you finally get a great cross into the 6 yard box and bob's your uncle. Even at the break is not bad away to a strong outfit who know how to put the ball in the back of the net.

I suppose a point at Coventry is a good thing but how I ache when I see what we are starting to create, but the gaps that separate us from them are needed and today's game was another reason why a striker/poacher has to be on the radar. In fairness to Max the ball looked like it took a slight deflection on the way in and he followed up a little later with a save the kept us in contention. A win against a very strong Leeds side would fit the bill and it may even change our fortunes going deep into the season and a quick look at the table says why. You never know in this league.
That was a very exciting end to a game. Both sides going for it. Only a brilliant save by their keeper denied us all 3 points. Overall well done Liam and the lads. I’ll take a draw on my birthday - the wife asked me if I wanted to go out but I opted to stay in and watch the game!!!!
